hope that doesn't happen 🥲 i still want to know what's going to happen in the end or how she's gonna break free from that abusive relationship. guess i'll find out.

it's definitely not bad but if you like detailed scenes/character development it can feel plain. things that should develop slowly sometimes feel like they happen very quickly but again this whole thing is a reflection of her experiences in letter form. Idk sth is not clicking but still i like it.

no, the story actually involves very heavy topics like partner abuse, gaslighting, self-harm, murder, blood/gore 💀 it's the form, i guess.she recounts her experiences over centuries. ofc she can't tell everything in detail. it makes sense that things are fragmented. it also mirrors her mental state.

and me being a yapper, there is no short answers when it comes to books sorry 🤡

it's actually a really quick read. i'm about halfway through and it's probably because the story is being told through letters, things are mostly summarized, it feels a bit plain (maybe it's because it's written in prose idk), but it creates tension which is good. i'm enjoying it so far.
