Ah, i see this now. Glad you mentioned it.
Wasn't aware of that. But, you know, this just means i need to pay more attention to the areas Larry contributes too. :). I need to level up.

Starfleet Academy. Hasn't been mentioned much but this last episode had interesting pairings. Reno and Tilly(as mentioned, women lost in time) and The Dr and Ake, people living long life spans.
Ok, so this is what that was. Going back to check it out now
One of the best parts of the SOTU. Classic.
@mspopok.bsky.social Just saw this pn YouTube. I think that's your voice being used. youtu.be/mUOhDzdXJzw?...
Very sorry to hear of your loss, as well, thank you for sharing this about your brother. Can't imagine how hard this must be, on many levels.
Nice

Going on a Cruise
The Life Triad: Wifi, Cheese and Wine
People have mentioned the quick but awkward scene where La-An, Spock and Kirk were on the bridge. Been wondering if it was because La-An called him James and in turn, Kirk addresses them by their rank but not her. Seeing La-An be formal would throw a person off and/or cause a look, a doubletake
Also, I still need to learn how to edit a post. I wrote Spock wrong and don't know how to fix it. :(
setup. And we get that, for sure in SNW. It works and I like what they're doing. Miss Pike so, yes, but I agree, shouldn't be about the one. Still I hope to see him and the newer characters more. Less of an origin story for original series. More of the unknown till now characters.
You know, that's the irony. When SNW was started, I heard people say it was because Pike and Spoke were so good. I felt differently, I felt people wanted it because it was what we knew and missed. Full crew, CMO, CPT, Sci OFC and so on. I still feel that way too, we wanted a decentralized character
At the end of the day though, maybe that's a good problem to have. π
Well there you go. Having more Trek on is always good. Having more Trek on gets us all talking. As for my earlier comment. Yes, still love the show. Maybe I'm just finally seeing what everyone else saw in Pike, during DSC. He was good then. And now, when off screen, it feels different.

1st- Not Criticism and 2nd, am 1ep back on SNW.
Feeling like the show falters a little, when Pike and/or the bridge scenes are fewer. Like the characters, but Pike and the bridge really are the glue. Anyone feel similar?
To you as well.

First, Holly Hunter is awesome. Always! And second) that's a great speech. If all i get is a speech per episode, I'm happy.

Strange New Worlds, let's go!
Yes. It reminds me. Different example but i wonder. Last year there was a 180 day world cruise. A lot of vloggers invited. 90% of their posts. Just Drama, Then, it all stopped. Well, first segment trip was over, vlogger left. So i wondered, did they just post drama and negativity for views?
Well said. Parts of S1 didn't hit for me and that's fine. It's no different than when someone tells me they watch the TNG episode Darmok and they didn't get. Do i cry inside, sure. But you just keep on watching for something else you enjoy. Could be the very next episode.
Don't you love how many hate it yet watch every episode, hear part of a story/rumor and can't wait to share it, are race to their keywords each time. For all that disdain they have, they are consistent viewers.
Last thing i will say. Just because an episode or season doesn't resonate with you today, it doesn't mean it's bad. We shouldn't expect perfect episodes for today. This content means different things to different people and may mean much more, tomorrow. That's the the great part.
I think the age of streaming and smaller seasons has spoiled a lot of us. It's too easy to stream the just our favorite episodes. And 8 -10 eps, in theory, reduce your clunker episodes. You get used to seeing all great episodes. It spoils us. Back in the day we had more ups and downs in a season
