A horse rider with spear and an incredibly badass conical goblin helmet
A woman in some kind of blank faced habit with the top of her head on fire, she looks like she’s manipulated genetic lines for 10,000 years to make sure you were born and you turned out to be a soft as shit dickhead
A load of couriers all wearing face mask sat around a yurt at the feet of a dude in a gold suit sat on a throne with his own face a pitiless void
A dude on a horse, the horse has fucking antlers and somehow that’s not the gnarliest thing here, again his helmeted head reveals a terrifying Stygian abyss where his face should be
Seen a couple of clips the past week from some 1995 Kyrgyzstan documentary The Universe of Manas and had to check out the whole thing. Just absolutely fucking unreal levels of drip here

Well that's one way to earn a wishlist.
"DDLC requires players to recognize they're complicit in a system that treats girls as content for consumption."
A thought provoking article on @mothership.blog. I've had similar thoughts to the closing lines here. When trusting the player, is there a chance they'll actually misconstrue it all?

Another great pick for bandcamp Friday!
It's bandcamp Friday, why not buy something cool and support some musicians? Something like this greek band I just discovered, with album tags such as: rock, art rock, death jazz, electric, mediterranean (!)

Stating once again the quite brilliance of this cute puzzler. I'm thinking about studying it like platformer devs do for Mario levels. It has a free demo, do try it out.
Article by @susanapolo.bsky.social on the newly launched

"But what the makers of Dragon Age have done,[...], is to simply tell stories that are about the pain of constrained choice — making the mechanical lack of quote-unquote "meaningful" choices into fuel for the franchise's biggest gut punches. "
Öoo is a brilliant, deceptively simple, charming puzzle game. It made me smile 5 times in the first 30 minutes. Play it.

Who knew Mass Effect 2 was a good game, then?
I might be (looks at calendar) 16 years late, but it's a good game.
A great piece on a game I'm very much interested in playing. Folks growing alongside their skills, their styles and preferences, resulting in more uniquely personal games that are decidedly theirs is something I hope this industry (bleh this word) and audience can foster.
Going from The Division 1 to 2 is like eating too much candy and washing it down with an energy drink. Everything is faster, more colorful and wow it's making me not excited.
I'm sure parodies of mobile games have snappier jokes than this not-explicitly-a-joke one.🫠 Just mind blowing Gaming™ happening here.
When you have a feeling and then you have an insight on that feeling, you write poetry.
When you see something and you have an insight on what you're seeing, you draw.
When you observe a system and you have an insight into a system in action, you create a game.

Insightful discussion⬇️
I've been looking forward to trying out the mode for myself since articles and discussions by the Waypoint (RIP) Crew way back in ... 2016 I guess? It feels so unique among its peers especially for the time, when Hunt Showdown, PUBG, Tarkov, etc. did not yet exist. I'll def. take some notes.

- Did it require me being sick & 9 years minus one day to watch @notquitereal.bsky.social & @austinwalker.bsky.social play The Division Survival dlc?
- Yes.
- Am I still glad?
- Oh hell yes.
The Division 1's Survival DLC is a super interesting standalone game mode with systemic spice. (1/2)
I think a lot of the discussion around AI isn't specific enough or informed enough, and that's why this piece from @edmondtran.bsky.social is so useful and important. These are actual concept artists spelling out in clear, unambiguous terms why Gen-AI is not only unhelpful, it's a nuisance.
