Day 435 - Just a wip/practice today.
I’d like to dedicate some effort to getting better at isometric pieces. BJGPixel’s video on using modular blocks to build out larger scenes really has the creative juices flowing 🤯

Thank you!! I love looking at ruins and old structures and imagining what they used to look like. I agree it can be kind of sad, but hopefully these spaces were well used/loved 🤷♀️
I can’t say I’m an expert with composition or anything, but the space around the subject allows you to control how it’s perceived. A 32x32 piece with no border around it could look very blocky and rough, while a border could make it appear smaller or smoother.
Just depends on the piece for me.
Yeahh this is based on a crumbling foundation/chimney i saw a few years ago on a camping trip.
I typically start with 256x256. When I’m happy with the subject I’ll adjust it up/down as needed. This one ended up as 224x224.
