For real - if i see one (1) more game that ONLY has some sort of variant on the killmonger cut come out im going to start biting 🙂↕️(tbf it's definitely gotten better but I was only at uni 5 years ago and I was told to be GRATEFUL for the token black style so 💀)
I was saying @ uni that we should hold more games to do better for hair inclusivity and WAY too many people saying it was too much to ask for! it was too hard to work towards diversity in portfolio's, it was too hard to texture/rig etc.
so its nice to see someone do it with care and DO IT WELL ‼️
MAN this is making me so emotional right now - the care they're putting into inclusivity is actually so so healing for the soul
I remember being a kid and often feeling disappointed that my game characters would never /look/ like me because curls and textured hair was too much to ask for (1/2)

Something very cool that Breakout Con is doing this year: arranging tables for playing solo rpgs together. In fact, I'll be running a few for SPINE.
This could be a special experience and even challenge some common notions about the nature of solo rpgs.
I agree with this so much. This results in many studios bodging it, implementing something without narrative input or shoving things in late. It's also very frustrating when mentoring new narrative designers because there's no one place to direct them to learn.
