As album titles go, It Bites’ ‘Eat Me In St. Louis’ may be among the best.

Dave DiMartino is a past editor of CREEM, former West Coast Bureau Chief of Billboard, a senior writer at Entertainment Weekly, and later executive editor of LAUNCH and Yahoo! Music. He still writes. And he’s a mammal!
As album titles go, It Bites’ ‘Eat Me In St. Louis’ may be among the best.
If you told me this was a bonus track on Nico’s ‘Desertshore,’ I would beleve it.

Catering to the cannibal market seems a bad business decision!
This guy has stuck around in my brain maybe longer than he should have.
Unopened treasures: note dog teeth marks!
Simple Minds Live In LA Reviewed: “If anything, both Kerr and Burchill have gotten better with age.”
Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill bring the Big Music to Los Angeles’ Kia Forum. MOJO’s Dave Di Martino is dazzled...
He’s 81, and his brand new album absolutely kills it. Great stuff!
Absolutely great, unsung Miami band!
Everyone's a critic!
It would appear the Twitterverse numbers have declined to the point where their latest “notifications” are now, conspicuously, clickbait. And who would actually click? Crazy!
Very sorry to hear about the death of Soft Machine keyboardist/co-founder Mike Ratledge, a superb talent. Here's a radio interview I did with him and (also now-departed guitarist) Allan Holdsworth back in 1974. A great loss.

Personally, still kind of miffed that someone thought of this stage name first!
The downside of using your dog as your icon.
If we’re talking favorite holiday tracks, must point out the one penned and sung by my son Greg a few years back. Dig it!

How they can afford this casting I’ll NEVER know!
I have more hard drives than I know what to do with—more media than you’d believe—but upon moving things around today, I noticed that between 2022 and 2023, Seagate reduced their warranty for large hard drives by 1 year for North & South America. Believe me, I have a NAS and much more, but…ouch.
These TV shows they beam in from the future are better than you'd think!
Apple Music’s 2024 Replay for me must indicate something or other!
$100 off through the end of the year, also on their site, which’ll have more info re location!
Has been eons since I saw one of these at Costco!
What plays in Walmart on Black Friday. True!
Tulsi Gabbard certainly has a mysterious past!
Dudes, thanks for following, but can you maybe imagine a world where I could proudly show my mom the names of the people who follow me?
Oddly reminded of Boz Scaggs at Lowe’s this afternoon!
Was oddly fascinated by this guy years ago—bored kids as genetic gods!—and I still kinda like him!
This is nearly perfect.
Regular shopping at Freakbeat Records in LA, my fave store ‘round here for a few years. You never know what’ll show up!
Just snagged a pic of my very first personal stereo system, provided by my parents circa 1968. Voice Of Music turntable, with its flukishly light tonearm and cartridge, preserved nearly every LP I ever played on it.
Plus a pic of the album I got with it, still one of my faves. “America,” yes!
Got a kick re the previous owner of this promo Paul Winter LP.
That would be Dorothy Ashby (1932-1986), pioneering jazz harpist from Detroit, who recorded some classic albums of her own that would likely command a much prettier penny than this one did.
How did it end up in LA? How does anybody?
Give me a few days. I know my EARS are sonically worse!
