Corporate Media Buries Story of US and Israel Killing 168 in Girls School Attack No front-page stories in NYT, WSJ, WaPo. No mention on NBC and CBS Sunday Shows. No stand alone segments on Evening News shows. A death count on par with the OKC bombing is relegated to the back page.

I wrote about how the US and Israel carried out an attack on an Iranian girls school on par with the OKC bombing and US media relegated it to a back page story. No stand alone evening news segments, no front page stories, it made A11 in the NYT then everyone moved on.

I can say this publicly now - connected to this piece - it always disappointed me how rarely Monkey Cage had more than one female panellist - in my final series I think only 2 out of 7 episodes had more than one female guest - I pushed for many years but ultimately failed and now I’m gone

Anti-Muslim extremist Tommy Robinson has been allowed into the U.S. despite past assault convictions and a record of rhetoric tied to real-world violence. The former English Defence League leader is now meeting with figures close to Trump while amplifying rhetoric linked to deadly attacks.

The Green Party recognises that NATO has an

A commitment to a 'No First Use' of nuclear

IT IS πŸ’₯NOTπŸ’₯ GREEN PARTY POLICY TO LEAVE NATO.

This is the policy. You can find it on their website.

Please complain to the BBC about their misrepresentation of #GreenParty policy.

'Lone Star Three': How Three UT Austin Students Paved the Way for Birth Control Access in 1960s Texas 'Lone Star Three': Before Roe, UT Austin students Victoria Foe, Judy Smith and Barbara Hines on birth control and abortion care in Texas.

Grateful for the opportunity to interview Victoria Foe and Barbara Hines, who shared information about birth control and abortion as UT Austin students in the 1960s, as well as archivist Alice Embree, for @msmagazine.com. Thank you to @livia-follet.bsky.social for working on this story with me!

No one deserves to be slaughtered like that. You've lost your humanity. I pity you.

WAR CRIME BY THE US.

An unarmed Iranian ship was takIng part in an Indian naval exercise, alongside the US.

The US withdrew and torpedoed the Iranian ship.

THEN the US refused to rescue the sailors, letting them drown.

This is treachery, cowardice, cruelty and a war crime of the highest order.

The people on the torpedoed ship where unarmed. Civilians or not, intentionally slaughtering them is a war crime.

But they are using Americans' tax dollars to do it, instead of letting them have basic things like affordable food and shelter, and healthcare.

The IRIS Dena was a sitting duck. The US filmed a "quiet death" by torpedo for the news, then looked away. It took Sri Lankaβ€”a nation with modest vessels but a true moral compassβ€”to pull the screaming from the oil. 87 dead, 32 saved, 60 lost to the deep. No glory in a victory without a conscience.

Labour is losing the voters it used to count on, a new study reveals.
In the aftermath of the Green Party's triumph in the Gorton and Denton by-election, and with local elections in London councils and other major cities coming up, Labour is losing the left progressive voters it could once rely on having
"nowhere else to go".
Now, the biggest study ever of these voters - shared exclusively with the New Statesman - reveals the true risk to Labour's future of leaving them behind.
This work, done by surveying 10,000 voters and a randomised control trial style approach, has found out who the so-called progressive defectors are, why they're deserting Labour, and what impact this could have on Labour's electoral prospects.

Worrying news at the NS podcast, where the lads have discovered millions of younger, mostly educated left/lib people get all upset and offended if you relentlessly insult them, tell them to fuck off and implement policies that they find appalling.

Exxon to send its first fuel shipment from US Gulf Coast to Australia, sources say Exxon Mobil is set to ship at least 300,000 barrels of gasoline from the U.S. Gulf Coast to cover its own import requirements in Australia, the first such shipments by the oil major, said four sources...

Trump's war in Iran is cutting off oil & gas shipping routes and production. To meet contractual obligations, Exxon is shipping some 600,000 barrels of gasoline from its U.S. refineries to Australia. Lower supply + higher global oil prices = higher U.S. gas prices.

I truly do think all of the "Noem out, Mullin in" posts and stories are failing American democracy right now!

Trump is announcing his nominee.

That's it.

If the Senate majority wants to confirm him, they're a part of thisβ€”even after knowing what they know now.

And that matters come November.

Because I was born here and lived here most of my life, and as far as I can tell the only values we actually have are noncing and protecting wealth and privilege.

'We don't see any reason to negotiate:
Araghchi
We have more comments from Iran's top diplomat.
In a live interview with NBC, Abbas Aragchi said Iran is "not asking for a ceasefire".
"We don't see any reason why we should negotiate with the US", he said.
"When we negotiated with them twice, every time, they attacked us in the middle of negotiations."
Araghchi also emphasised that Iran has not closed the Strait of Hormuz, saying "it is the ships and tankers" that have refused to cross the waterway.
