Mostly science related. Occasional gardening to be feared. "Aren't you the guy who built that robot?"

15 months ago my son gave me some horseradish plants for Christmas as a challenge - they are reputedly hard to grow in UK gardens. So far, so good. I protected them over winter and they’ve put on new growth and even flowered #gardening

Vertical farms are another of those solarpunk technologies that have the potential to radically change the world for the better. but only viable with power too cheap to meter.

AI is threatening science jobs. Which ones are most at risk? Data-analysis and modelling positions are already becoming obsolete, but hands-on experimentalists can breathe easy for now.

Visual SLAM is now real. Paul Mandel at Robust.AI (where I am CTO) says: We just moved into a new office and it took our team under an hour from uncrating Carter to driving around autonomously, including bringup, mapping the entire (large!) new space and annotating locations of interest. Incredible!
