The Bloodsworn Special Editions are officially out in the US - one more week to wait for the UK. I saw this beautiful artwork today of ORKA by Red Murphy Art and I felt that this really captured the spirit of the ferocious mother-wolf. Seeing readers create artwork from your books is wonderful.
Will never be boring seeing a Papa @johngwynneauthor.bsky.social book in public.

That’s so awesome hear! Which one did you decide? And what is your favourite Gemmell book?
Some very exciting news… I am honoured to have been asked to interrogate the wonderful Jay Kristoff during his London Waterstones Event on the 14th November. Not only does this mean I get the pleasure of his company, but I also get the pleasure of reading Empire of the Dawn before it is available…
An absolute pleasure attending Samantha Shannon’s event with Brighton Waterstones the other day to celebrate the publication of Among the Burning Flowers.
Lovely to meet Samantha and have a brief chat. As always, the Brighton Waterstones team hosted a brilliant event.
#fantasybooksky what is your most anticipated release for the rest of 2025?
Guess what I saw this week…

Completely agree! Complex characters but some are deeply good and you are rooting for. Lots of heart!
Never gets old seeing Papa @johngwynneauthor.bsky.social books out and about….

I had a brilliant time attending @joeabercrombie.com’s Newcastle Waterstones event to discuss the release of his latest work, THE DEVILS! I’ve had the pleasure of already reading it… and it was great!

I had a lovely time at the Oxford Literary Festival. It was an absolute pleasure to discuss Tolkien and epic fantasy alongside @jamesloganauthor.bsky.social. Thank you to Grace for chairing the event, and Abby and the team for looking after us. Thank you also to those who took the time to attend.
I am very excited to be chatting with the great author and editor James Logan tomorrow at the Oxford Literary Festival. We will be on the panel In Tolkien’s Wake: The Future of Epic Fantasy. I hope to see some of you there. Tickets are in my bio ⬆️
Truth and courage.
Great start to Songs of Chaos by Michael R. Miller. Classic, nostalgic fantasy with dragons. What more could you want?
Hmm, what this then?
The Daughter’s War and Arthur were two of my favourite reads last year! I need to read Empire of the Damned….
