Over the past 22 months, we have pretty much forgotten what it is like to not be on edge. Her heart is not healed. She will still need a transplant. Just not YET. And that means more time for waterparks and Sunny D and things she won't be able to have or do after transplant surgery.
We got an unexpected call today. Based on her evaluation results and her growth (weight and height), Reverie is no longer in immediate need of a transplant. She does not need to be listed yet and we get more time with her original heart.
Reverie’s case is on the docket to be discussed by the PACC (Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Care) tomorrow. I’m not sure how long it will take to hear back, but this committee will decide if she is eligible for the transplant list. We’ve been waiting three months for this!
Because both state and federal governments at this time love this bs
My daughter has a heart defect and required open heart surgery twice in the first two months of life. She had to have formula added to my milk to fatten her up.
