waaa thank u for reading!!!
waaa thank u for reading!!!
this is a serious moment andf im ruining it
you may spank it
ONCE
i dont really care about my text posts but they always pop off its a curse
a lot of people have followed me for fanart and textposts lately so just reminding everyone that i draw a webcomic. if you like ffxiv or dnd or adventurer party drama or anything like that you should check it out
MY POWER GROWS (various arts by @sabato-n.bsky.social and @ksilberne.bsky.social )
Anyway the main takeaway here is that i think you should slam into a rock and break your wrists for art
u get it!!! It's about being a sicko and enjoying what u do
It's not that art is not sometimes frustrating or difficult. Like all things worth learning it can be extremely frustrating and difficult. But when I place a mark just right and I'm in that art flow state I'm having so much fun tbh
I think this is at least partially because sports make you go outside and being a digital artist generally involves being slumped over a screen for hours. You can fix this by making your workspace a more pleasant place to be and practicing some wellness and self care i guess. I did that and it rocks
people who do physical sports and stuff are always talking about how fun it is despite it being difficult and effortful. snowboarders are literally slamming into rocks and breaking their wrists and shit And being like man i love snowboarding. I think this is a good mentality for artists to have too
Wow I should have gotten at least a nomination for a nobel peace prize for this post
thank you!!! teehee it wouldn't be interesting for me or anyone else if new and insane things didnt happen
(kills myself to reset the timeline)
Where is dragons dogma
stream done thank u for coming! vod is here www.twitch.tv/videos/27140...
yeahhh i think they have to nerf healing narratively because in xiv npcs often have to die in front of you and if healing was powerful then there's literally no reason why the wol of all people couldn't save them. i dont have this problem in ouj so i can go ham
i think i'll do a little comic working stream today in 15-20min, text bubbles hidden to avoid spoilers. im in a scene where two chars are just talkin so it shouldn't be too spoilerrific. feel free to drop by. im mostly doing this so i actually concentrate
nobody ever warns u as an artist that when people clasp their hands together it actually looks kind of stupid
i think the most major lore thing that i've fudged is healing lore because in xiv magical healing is quite weak lore-wise and grievous injuries are kind of beyond anyone's help. purely out of personal preference i have buffed healing in ouj and turned it into more of a logistics problem
i will also add that i love xiv's world and i want to remain canon compliant as far as lore and setting go. it's important to me that other xiv players feel that ouj belongs in the setting of xiv. i am also an msq enjoyer i just don't feel the need to retell something that has already been told
i sort of answered this exact question in my discord just the other week so i'll put my response here!! tl;dr it's mostly vibes and i'm treating this like a dnd campaign where the source material exists to serve the player('s characters) and not the other way around
we should all listen to him
Oh yeah i was going to do this but forgot. Give me your comics/manga questions if you have any
more beach doodles. i keep drawing these bc i am sick of winter
I don't read a lot of webcomics admittedly...!! I just saw it on my timeline the other day and was intrigued. I have a list of manga i like tho
No problem random dog
By the way the real crash course is to look at comics you like and copy their layouts shamelessly until your brain starts thinking in panels and page layouts. All mangaka have done this
This is why we board btw. this is also why i prefer full page boarding with text directly on the page because it ensures that you know how much space you need for your text before you start sketching or inking
