My take away from this story: Not only do the majority of people want open & accessible libraries, many people will also put in the work to make it happen

This is also a really good articulation of how I think bookstores should stock their shelves. The idea that you should include books you don't agree with or like does not REQUIRE you to carry bullshit. That doesn't change just when a major mainstream party becomes a bullshit fountain.
