Caught up with a small flock of Linnets, watched the in-house squabbles as they jostled for the best position on the wall. Spring is definitely in the air. #scottishbirds #linnets #birdingscotland
The Brent Goose. Breeds up in northern Russia, wintering in some places in the U.K.
The light was gorgeous, seeing this goose caught in the evening sunlight. #brentgeese #rspbtitchwell
A magical morning watching this murmuration of Golden Ploverβ¦.a wonderful start to the morning.

Ooos that should have said. I had never seen one ever before. Would be amazing to catch in the snow.
It really was!
A first view for me. A Scottish mountain hare. The U.Kβs only native hare, it can reach a speed of over 30mph!
I would love to have seen it in the snow, although Shetland did a very good impression of the real depth of winter. π₯Ά #shetland #mountainhare #wildlifescotland

Waxwing, a passing vagrant. With little bushes/trees an apple in the garden must have felt like a gold mine. #birdingscotland #waxwing #scotland

Not heard anything about it today so
Lovely warm light.
Aww glad you hear you got out. Red and enjoy the editing tomorrow.
Arenβt we just so lucky π
Ha! Itβs the only Bitten Iβve seen so far. Zero for the U.K.
Lovely capture.
Super cropped and noisy image, yet stillI seen! Little Bittern seen in Extremadura last year . Unlike the local Bittern that I dipped (check me and the lingo π) yesterday. All part of the fun. Would love to hear that boom! Another timeβ¦. #littlebittern #Bittern #extremadura #twitching
Came back later still dipped π«£
That blue tut sure had something to say!
The bird really did the work for me!
Itβs the best light Iβve ever seen a Kingfisher in.
A male Kingfisher. His breast was a bright orange glowing globe in the light. As a kid I imagined this bird with a crown fishing. I have never stopped being excited by that regal flash of blue. These last few years I have appreciated closer views. #birdingscotland #kingfisher #edinburghwildlife
Great to bump into you π
We know how that one goes. Trying to get out as we can. It has helped keep us going.
Hope you are recovering ok.
Hey long time no see!
Love the iridescent colours. The light was just perfect that day!
We have 1 in the area and it ventured into the garden (a first) we are trying to plant and encourage more in.
And seeing a decline now?
It was every bird for itself the other day for sure.
We had incredible light so lucky!
Thanks Rob
