BEAUTY!
REMEMBER KIDS IF YOUβRE POSH AND WELL-CONNECTED YOU CAN PAY YOURSELF A FORTUNE, GET ON THE RADIO AND TELE, WRITE BOOKS ABOUT PUERILE, OVERSIMPLIFIED ARCHITECTURAL ISSUES, BUT STILL DESIGN BLAND BUILDINGS AND PRODIGAL, PURPOSELESS BRIDGES WITHOUT BOTHERING TO QUALIFY AS AN ACTUAL ARCHITECT.
If youβve never seen a Walrus, how do you know when to stop stuffing?
Probably one of my favourite stories about taxidermy and South London.

A nice little roll around Leith, Portobello and Edinburgh today.
These ones are real sweeties.
Some very good dogs I met earlier today.
Very much enjoying mine!
Photograph showing the entrance to Bullrush Court, the door is in the corner of a courtyard garden. The building is red brick.
Thanks to @andy-matthews.bsky.social for letting me know that a building we worked on in our past lives is in this month's @news.architectsjournal.co.uk.
Struck by the uncanny nature of the photos that look as polished as renders and their role the image-based economy architecture reproduces.
The worst are the murals under station bridges. Stop it. These should be illegal.
Jeff Wall. White Cube, Bermondsey.
A shame that youβre sponsored by HSBC.
Thereβs no path away from Instagram for our business account sadly. It heavily relies on it for work and portfolio presentation.
Facebook profile deleted in 2017.
Twitter deleted 2024.
Holding onto Instagram for now as my last community.
How did the tech bro crowd, growing up on stories of sci-fi, transhumanism, virtual reality and limitless ability to modify one's body, "biohacking," etc. end up becoming so viscerally anti-transgender? Truly boggles my mind.
Yeah taken from the temporary members bar on the 6th floor.
A few photos from my travels today.
The Ricoh GRIIIx continues to bring joy.
You do.

A meme where a small domino at the start of a stack says "Gerardus Mercator devises map projection to make navigation easier in 1569" and a big domino at the end of the stack says "Trump invades Greenland"
Itβs not finished so plenty of time to see. The shopping centre wasnβt just a shopping centre it was a community which was run down for years. Also a decent office block over that could have been reworked. The traffic issues arenβt solved either. Some of the new buildings are good, but some average.
Decay decay decay. The article doesnβt say how it became so run down. An awful lot of carbon lost there in demolition and families displaced. It sits at an awkward time really and I suspect more of it would have been reused now if the scheme had been designed now. So much of it is cheap and nasty.
Pretend youβre a gangster and itβs a cool look.
Avoiding the rain at South London Gallery earlier.
Nice day out at the seaside.
A wonderfully muddy adventure riding around ancient forts in Wiltshire yesterday. Now the clean up operation begins.
Hope you have a vastly improved 2025 and get more tattoos.
The landing/foyer and the stairs are also elegantly designed (thread)
The place is a beautifully maintained and preserved time capsule with some fantastic furniture - I particularly loved the leather seating in the brick alcove and the green chairs in the undercroft (thread)
