What a beauty she is David. Congratulations! :-) Xx

How peculiar it is that you are tagging me. Well done you too, I guess. It’s a funny old world, isn’t it?
Last night at The Ivors Academy Honours, I had the great pleasure of presenting Sir Chris Bryant with an award recognising the lasting and practical difference he has made to songwriters and composers by securing per diems. He is, and the evening was, a delight.

Great thanks Bernie. Been on the road since the beginning of Feb and just got to NZ. Stinking cold this week but no cancellations to date, so very happy about that :-).
I haven’t sold any art. This is my exhibition piece from the second year of my Printmaking Degree. I graduated at 61. I left school at 16 unqualified. It was a long held ambition. I hope you achieve yours. Ps. I’m not an ex musician. I am currently on tour. Day job and that.
Love your heart :-) xx
Oh lord, yes. And those ones on each shoulder. Forever tucking them in. I fail at horribly at kempt:-)
Rubbish at lady-stuff. Was telling ‘em about my skirt last night. Hate thinking about clothes so buy 5 of the same.Bloody hard to walk in. 3 shows I cld barely move. Shit I’ll have to shop again I thought. Daughter turns up & points out the vent stitch. How was I s’posed to know?
So, here am I around a week into touring. Funny how the muscle memory kicks in seven years since the last but the art of packing & re-packing drags its stupid flat feet. So far I’ve only lost my toothbrush charger. Not terminal but I’ll need to up my Idiot-Check game. It’s lovely to be out again :-)
Richie. Thank you so much for the book and these incredibly beautiful flowers. Your gift too for the crew was truly thoughtful. It was lovely discovering you were in last night, so thank you for coming and I hope very much that you had a good night. :-) xxx
Low. I have a low voice. I could have said euphonium, I guess, but I’m verbose and the euphonium speaks less. It just makes for a sentence that amuses me.
I’ve many times read that someone knows someone that I hung out with when I lived in London.
I’ve never lived in London.
It’s the weirdest thing.
Well, not the weirdest, but it’s certainly odd.
Maybe there was another woman around that looked uncomfortable & talked in Bassoon
This weekend I have been crafting presents. Batik and wood painting. Mostly I have been cleaning up a whirlwind of my own shite. Why does “I know what I’ll do!” create such godawful chaos? Why can’t I do one thing at a time? Back to rehearsals tomorrow with hands like a plasterer’s glove.
I did :-) They made for a perfect gift. So thoughtful and even lovelier coming from your kid’s shelves xx
I’m still looking over my shoulder. I don’t quite trust it yet, but I’ll enjoy this current innocence . :-)
Hello Mr. When I get to the ol’ smokey next I’d lve to :-)
Makes more sense of the gown, though. You’ll be glad of the layers ;-)
@jeanfinch.bsky.social Wanted to say, Jean. It was granny day yesterday and I had your lovely books with me. Thank you so much. The gardening one is very current here. The little one is all about digging up the garden :-) x
We all look ridiculous at graduation. Great opportunity to share the embarrassment and see it being even handed though. ;-)
Beyond that, GRADUATION!!! I’m so flipping happy for you, Hannah.
Also, so unsurprised :-)
Lovely to see you here, Hannah. I live ever in hope. :-) x
If I haven’t seen you saying it, I won’t assert that you did. I promise.
It would be glorious to be afforded that same standard by return.
All words our own.
Wouldn’t that be a thing. :-)
Coming onto a new platform feels as I imagine does dating after a tempestuous relationship that you remember started prettily & descended into punches. Unfamiliar with the rules & uncertain of your own enthusiasm for the game.
Hello. I’m Alison & I’m here to see friends. Not yet sure how reliably.
