I have an active commentariat there, and an increasingly wide reach beyond the social footprint I started with. It’s not for everyone…and it continues to make me sighful that people feel a need to say “well I left ages ago” or etc. “Er, good for you? Congratulations?”
…I do not have sufficient words to express the !@#%@ that I feel around this.
…and they have not apologized to diaspora BIPOC as a whole, just specific nominees and to Chinese fans, and “the community”. I have tried asking for this directly, but have gotten…at best milquetoast responses. We do not exist to them; they did not miss us. These are people who know me personally.
I’m mostly not here yet. Still largely on eff-bee, but I see the conversation around things I apparently still care about are happening here, so…
