Off to SCaLE 23x in Pasadena, CA. Stop by the CIQ booth #412. Would love to chat about what we are building for and with Rocky Linux.
The RESF folks will be at their booth too.
Looking forward to catch up with the Asterisk community who will be there for Astericon.

Today, CIQ launched RLC Pro, a commercially supported Enterprise Linux subscription that bundles Long-Term Support, FIPS 140-3 validation, and direct bug fixes as standard.
Enterprise Linux designed for the customer, not the vendor.

It's coming up quick. Looking forward to seeing folks from last year and meeting new ones.
Morning! Meet some members of the Rocky Linux community that were at SC25 and find some areas to lend a hand within the project.

HPC and AI workloads are converging, but traditional schedulers weren't built for it. Kubernetes adds unnecessary overhead for HPC environments.
Fuzzball: container orchestration purpose-built for performance computing.

Wonderful experience and great conversations.
Thank you FOSDEM for having us be a part of this year's event. Shout out to FOSDEM team, volunteers, sponsors, ULB and the city of Brussels.

Looking forward to it!
Side note. Unless you want to play "Where in the world is Rocky at FOSDEM?" (hopefully someone hears the song in their head), we are going to be at H-05 π. See you there!!
One thing to clarify, we were asked to use it, then strongly asked and it on its own has become a requirement.
It was done this way to help us figure out what works and doesn't work. We needed to feel that its part of our job. We needed to experiment and learn. We are still being told to experiment
If it had not been required, I may never have tried it beyond just the surface.
The same for my fellow teammates. There is skepticism and resistance . Being a requirement gets folks past that. They then realize the usefulness and gain a new tool.
At first, I wasn't crazy about it. Thought it was a bit threatening and "why are they forcing this". I was skeptical at first but jumped in to try
In the end, I am glad it was strongly encouraged and then later a requirement. This is a new tool that is changing how we work. It is a necessity now.
This is going to be good! These two are great at explaining and demos.
Introducing Fuzzball Service Endpoints, unifying AI training, fine-tuning, and inference in one portable workflow.
Run your entire AI lifecycle on-prem, in the cloud, or hybrid. Full data sovereignty. No external dependencies.
One platform. Complete control.

Yesterday's NVIDIA acquisition of SchedMD marks a milestone moment for the HPC community. Slurm powers more than half of the world's top supercomputers, and seeing it receive this level of investment speaks to its enduring importance. Read Gregory Kurtzerβs thoughts: https://bit.ly/3MLUDp8
This is a big deal and David is great at explaining.
At SC25, David Godlove announced Fuzzballβs integration with Slurm and PBS, which means that you can now orchestrate containers in HPC. This integration dramatically lowers the adoption risk of modernization initiatives by supporting gradual, user-led adoption. Watch demo: https://bit.ly/48vZ3cj
At SC25, we unveiled one of Fuzzballβs most requested features: native integration with Slurm and PBS. Now you can keep your scheduler and add modern container orchestration with no workflow rewrites. David Godlove breaks it down here: https://bit.ly/4pjoNhS
Good morning St. Louis. The Rocky Linux community is at #SC25. We will be having a session today, Wednesday, Nov 19 @ 10:00 am at @ciq.com's booth, #736
Come on by and say Hi! or Β‘Hola!. Bring your questions and find out how to contribute.

On my way to #SC25. Selfies are not my thing but I want to share this experience to represent an open source community that I believe in. They never cease to impress and do wonderful things. Thank you for this privilege to represent you all.
