Both are exceptional, but so different from one another that it's really difficult to say which I prefer. I think being so different, I'd end up picking one over the other depending on what I'm looking for that particular day, or what my palate is like that day. Both are bangers!

This years release is a higher proof, which is immediately noticeable. More oak presence with hints of maple, chocolate and honey. Much more of a traditional ASM profile compared to last years, which had off the wall fig and raisin notes.

Got this year's Westward Milestone in today! Another excellent release! Of course, I had to compare it to last year's release! Notes in comments.

I like it quite a bit, especially for the price! The malt comes through quite a bit more on this one compared to the 111. If you're not into high malt bourbons, this may not be up your alley though.
