I'm nervously monitoring China's response to Operation Epic Fury. Currently, they're in denounce-and-wait mode. But if things get worse, especially with the oil situation, they might respond. For example, they could dump all of their US Treasuries, which would obliterate the value of the US dollar.
I wish people would stop using the word "awarded" when presenting the Congressional Medal of Honor and other symbols of recognition. It's not an award or prize. You don't win it. Worthy recipients are presented the medal in a solemn ceremony to recognize their heroic courage and sacrifice.

That looks very familiar. Fluid simulations are hard to get right, especially when you scale them up across connected regions or tiles.

I had a bug like this once. It was caused by the character steering system making imperceptibly small zigzags when on paths (to stay on center line) and turning (even a tiny bit) stopped their forward momentum. I discovered the zigzags when I drew very long local axes on them and saw the wiggles.

I like it a lot for your game. It matches the aesthetics of your terrain style, while still looking like water.
I know you want a stylized appearance, but water in nature is often surprisingly opaque due to silt and algae. How important is it for the player to see through the water to the terrain? Also fresnel reflection often obscures the view through the water's surface, anyways.
That's exactly why I asked. I've made several fluid simulations, and getting data back from the GPU kills the performance gains, even with small async queries.
Is it simulated on the CPU or the GPU?
Baby Steps is a very appropriately named game. With lots of practice and patience, you will go from stumbling and fumbling to confidently striding your way towards almost any objective. Your own skill visibly improves as you play, absent of any artificial assistance or number-go-up mechanics.
Why is there such a dearth of good movies/series inspired by the life of Leonardo da Vinci? He was such an interesting and complex person who interacted with many notable patrons, rulers, rivals, and mentors, each with their own interesting stories.

There are a lot of herding games. It is an interesting genre that is often mixed with puzzle solving and maze navigation. Personally, I want a modern version of Herdy Gerdy, with better level design, a more compelling story, and a solid 60 fps framerate (the original was often 15 fps).
I'll accept 0.05% of the blame for that mess. Can you believe it was even worse 13 years ago? At least it works... mostly.
