Mega thread on who is behind these age verification laws, spoiler alert itβs Meta.
Unfollowing and blocking anyone who posts or spreads callouts about artists drawing "problematic" art. In the fucking year of 2026 as we're ALL getting shafted is NOT the year I want to see people targeted and harassed for things they draw. Fucking mental.
Tremendously happy for InCase. It's VANISHINGLY rare for long-form webcomics, particularly those of the scope, quality, and ambition of Alfie, to make it all the way to the finish line. It's a mammoth, backbreaking labor of love, and InCase deserves all the flowers you can give him.
Panel 1: 3 people standing next to each other. a man in the middle in a red hat representing a MAGA supporter is yelling at a man holding a phone saying "FUCK YOUR FUCKIN POST FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU" Panel 2: The man holding the phone puts up his hand and makes the man disappear. The word "Block" appears over his head and in the top left corner the words "+2 Mental Health" appear in a green box like something out of a video game Panel 3: The third man begins to say "Typical Lefty, blocking everyone who disagrees with-" Panel 4: before he can finish the man with the phone blocks him as well.
Take care of yourself <3
I would argue that the fact that Donald Trump is not in jail for raping little girls with Epstein is more responsible for the normalization of pedophilia than every βproblematic drawingβ that has ever existed on the internet combined.
tapping the sign again:
no, sanitizing queer spaces of βproblematic artβ was never going to discourage them from censoring & criminalizing us, their goal isnβt βacceptableβ queer expression, itβs none at all.
wake the fuck up & stop projecting your discomfort onto others.
Hey, alongside contacting your representatives, this seems like another thing worth putting a bit of your time into and sharing around. If we could get "reputational risk" taken off the table, even in this current climate, that could create a chilling effect on these kinds of policies
You need to call your reps and demand that they OPPOSE:
-the KIDS Act
-KOSA
-the Screen Act
-Sammy's Law
-the App Store Accountability Act
And additionally, oppose:
-reforming/sunsetting Section 230
-online age verification/ID laws

In the light of recent Subscribestar situation I think it's a good time to dust off this post from a while ago. Still very much on point.
Reminder that the only time Mastercard has flinched is when outrage was directed at them. Attacking platforms like SubscribeStar for Visa/Mastercard's extralegal censorship is exactly the deflection they want.
A female fox wearing a nun's veil. Her breasts are large. She's wearing a stars-and-stripes bikini. She pinches the flesh on her own belly with both hands, shocked and lamenting, "How did I get so fat?!"

Btw, if it's not clear:
The tactic the right is using rn is to start censoring fetishes and kinks that are generally accepted to be "bad" or "gross" by most people to slowly warm us up to the idea of censoring all sexual expression online.
Don't fall for this by going "this is actually based!!"
WHAT IS THE CHARGE
DRAWING A KNEE ?
A SUCCULENT ANIMAL KNEE?
THIS IS THE BLOKE THAT GOT ME ON THE PENIS PEEEEOPLE
Anyway we removed our art off subscribestar, it's a support only platform much like patreon... more about this later.
(1/2) hello!
we are in direct communication with the Free Speech Coalition, a sex worker trade association combating overreach of debanking & porn laws.
tl;dr - YES it's a good idea to comment on this as ero creatives. the FSC is also submitting a comment.
took me like two minutes total. donβt have to talk to anybody, donβt have to make a phone call, just have to write what you can about how payment processors shouldnβt control what consumers can buy and hit send. thatβs it
all hands on deck yall, this could make a huge difference
2026 fursona guidelines
Love keyboard warriors telling full time artists how to pay their bills. Stay crispy
Like I keep seeing artists and furries who should really know better say shit like "well it's actually a good thing (blank) is banned, but why are they banning (blank)???" like hello? Are you stupid? Have some awareness, my god.
I'm very sorry that I yap a lot and yell a lot. This stuff is my livelihood though and it's really important people at least try. I love my job and I don't wanna lose it to payment processors/websites that don't respect me.
SubStar walking back their new rules against feral/furry porn is not a win and shouldn't be considered one. They're hoping y'all take that and don't care about all the other harmless (but taboo) stuff they have banned since you get to keep your furry yiff.
Calling/Emailing your reps is cool and all guys but I really, really recommend you donate to groups such as EFF or FSC. Studies show that politics are heavily influenced by money. It's important the issues we support are funded too, as well as social pressure. Even just $10 from many is a lot.
Fuck it, best thing to do when the rich are being bitches about art once again, is to keep on making exceptionally thirsty art.
So here you go. Thirst at your leisure.
The Substar TOS looks extremely similar to Patreon's now. Call your reps or we will lose everything
Tell them to stop the payment processor power grab, tell them to vote no on child online safety bills/ID verification. We need everyone
Individual websites will not save us. Running from platform A to platform B will not work as payment processors and legislation will simply follow our trail
You have to speak out against censorship and surveillance legislation. Its the source of all of this.
Call your reps
I know calling reps is very nerve racking. You're not sure what's the right thing to say, and tbh having a script thrown at me makes things just as nerve racking.
I called today, and I figured I'd write up a transcript of how my call went down. Hopefully it helps demystify the process
