Spending the week alone, up in the mountains. We can all call it a vacation but we all know it's mental healthcare.
As of 12/24/25, USPS changed policy on when they postmark mail. Mail dropped off is no longer guaranteed a same-day postmark. Tax returns & other time-sensitive items are now stamped when they reach a regional processing center, which may be days later. Plan deadlines accordingly to avoid penalties.

With the exception of our two bathrooms, there is at least one shelf full of books. Our living room and my office could be considered small libraries by themselves.
Whenever I walk into someone's home that doesn't have books, I feel sad, like friends weren't invited to the party.

The photo was taken in my friend's front yard in northern Illinois. I believe the plant is called Joe-Pye. Her yard is a pollinator paradise.
It's been a hot minute since I last posted. After SDCC, I went to IL to visit a bestie for a long weekend. We had a smashing time. A couple weeks after coming home, I was struck down by a gastrointestinal illness that I am just now recovering from. Missed a whole week of work.
