I'm not GOOD at harmony or melody, but the want to utilize it has had a resurgence I haven't felt since I was in my pre-angst era (which I'm not sure I'll ever out-grow).
Is this my return-to-roots or maybe me just getting old? idk, but it sure is fun to explore.
Now it feels like a defiance of understanding. It made sense to me then, but as time went on it became harder to use melody and harmony. What dominated my interest was texture and tone.
Those things still matter to me, but melody and harmony seem simple again. Not easy, but at least, desirable.
I used to have this aversion to "melody" and "harmony" in music. I think a lot of young people do. Maybe it came from being classically trained and maybe that was combined with angst to revolt against that "sound." I'm not entirely sure.
Women are actually the best.

Who wants a Bandcamp Friday release?
time to rebrand
The sheer amount of copaganda in American television, whether it be outright or some neo-liberal, peepee-poopoo version, is fucking diabolical.
My favorite, "I'm making enough money doing what I love, but I've not made enough money to accept getting hate-crimed online on a regular basis" platform is, Patreon. Nebula is a FAR second.
Renoise ๐
You know what feature I really need in Renoise? Proper, per-track parallel processing. Either that or Splitter needs to except eternal sidechain from any source. I love ya, Renoise but, some days I be start eyeing up other DAWs somethin fierce.
Oh, that's simply fantastic. (Cries in not using Ableton)
Ooh! Quite different. In that case, I'm really not sure. Apologies.
There's also Cosmic Boy's IceCream
A VSTi? Like UVI's 8-bit Synth?
It's really unfortunate how little tolerance I have left to play nice with people. I mean that on every level. The way I speak to people now is far less polite than it ever has been. I want to be nice, I want to be heard; the balance between the two is becoming less important. I'm not happy about it
I genuinely say this all the time. I couldn't agree more.

Weird, right? ||Reason, don't look||
Yeah, never seen it before. Never happened.
there's a reason they didn't make videos on it though.
It's unfortunate because, if this approach to, lets say, "hydra macro" control was implemented in a DAW from day-one people would tout the DAW as the Ableton-killer
I kid-you-not, I sat on specifically Snappy-Snap for at least a week (and more later) before even speaking its name out-loud. Then I acquired a version of it and.... OH MY! That fella was NOT ready to do what it was advertised as. Don't get me wrong, I fully understand its limitations, but still...
i used to have to say this about Kontakt back in the day. Now everyone is mourning the possible crumble of their favorite tool.
