The hand made noodles at Menya Shichisai near Tokyo station are worth a visit if you are into ramen. A friend introduced me to them and now I have eaten there on multiple different trips and will always continue to go back.

Nine box art images: Top row: Super Mario 64, Katamari Damacy, Super Mario USA Middle row: Rhythm Heaven, Ouendan, Tony Hawkβs Pro Skater Bottom row: Splatoon 3, Smash Bros Melee, Everquest
May as well do this trend. Top row is games I just love that I can play over and over without being sick of them. Middle row is my love of music in games, bottom row is multiplayer games Iβve spent the most time in.
Haha itβs not boring to me, just probably boring to anyone else
To the best of my knowledge the translation of the game was done by humans, though the translation was handled by the publisher so I wasnβt directly involved with that. My job is mostly all the work involved in integrating translations, replacing videos, etc. (Plus a lot of other boring stuff π)
I hope you will enjoy this one too! I had never heard of the game before we started on it, but it's become one of my favorites. It was made with so much love for classic anime, and has such a good sense of humor too. Truly a hidden gem just waiting to find it's audience in the west.
I am so excited to have been able to work on this game for the past few months. Itβs a love letter to giant robot anime and a very fun shmup. The original game is crazy expensive and rare, I hope our re-release helps it find its fan base!
Nice Fear Effect box!
Guildhouse is awesome! Sadly Iβm sick today so I have to skip the LAN. Will be watching you all on stream
Does this mean theyβll be shipping soon? I ordered one a few months back, and am looking forward to playing on my consolized MVS with a proper stick
My #italkiRefresh @italkioffical.bsky.social isnβt quite as impressive but Iβm hoping I can be more consistent with it in 2026. Ideally Iβd like to do at least one lesson per weekβ¦
This is the one console I havenβt yet got into collecting. I think I need to learn more Japanese before I can really appreciate most of the library
My Bunpro end of year summary. I completed 12316 flash card reviews over 231 days, mastering 771 cards over 72 hours of study
I normally loathe end of year summaries, but I am happy with the amount of progress Iβve made in Japanese this year studying with my @italkioffical.bsky.social sensei and then using @bunprosrs.bsky.social to review concepts daily. I still have a long way to go but I can tell I am improving.
Great minds think alike
A photograph of the inside of the case for the physical Nintendo Switch edition of the re-release of Fear Effect, showing the game cart and paper manual. The re-release of game is published by Limited Run, licensed by Square Enix, and ported by Implicit Conversions. The original game was developed by Kronos Entertainment and published by Eidos Interactive in 1999.
A photograph of the front of the box for the Nintendo Switch edition of Fear Effect. The paper manual is open next to the game, showing the printed credits for Implicit Conversions, who ported the game to modern consoles. My name (Joanna Stringer) is printed under the heading "UI".
Not the best photos but THIS IS SO COOL! β€οΈ I am in the credits for a game that has physical copies, and my name is credited in print in the manual!
I'm so thankful to Implicit Conversions for contracting me to help bring Fear Effect to old and new players alike.

Do you like cozy games? Beautiful pixel art? Minigames? Weird stuff that only came out in Japan? Then go wishlist Milano's Odd Job Collection, and you'll be able to check it out in just a few more weeks! I've fallen in love with the game and can't wait for more people to try it out soon.
We're pleased to share that Milano's Odd Job Collection will be released December 9th for PlayStation 4/5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, GOG, and Microsoft Store!
This is the first time it will be available for Western audiences - we can't wait for you to play!
I work for a small studio of industry veterans that is building emulation technology to enable commercial rereleases of classic games on modern platforms. Our company is @implicitconversions.com and weβd love it if you gave us a follow.
I had the same experience a couple weeks ago. My charitable explanation is they get a LOT more tourists now so maybe people are happy to see anyone make an effort? I had a couple cab drivers ask me if I lived in Japan, which I chose to accept as a compliment even though my Japanese is N4 at best.
Came back from Japan with a suitcase full of kanji training apps. Currently using the top right premium app as it has IMO the best UX for teaching to write if you didnβt learn in school but curious if anyone here has a favorite DS app for practicing kanji #japanese #kanji #languagelearning
Food photo dump from the end of the trip. Two amazing bowls of noodles and also Jojo themed mochi?
Flying back home after a very fun two weeks. As usual after an event I feel reenergized and exciting about the future of games. I will miss the food but itβs been too long since Iβve seen my wife and my dog.
Canβt believe TGS is nearly over. Had another amazing day of showing Milano and Micro Mages and networking with other indies. Then had an amazing team ramen dinner followed by sick deals at the local book off. Got this kanji game for less than 1/3 what it goes for on eBay.
TGS day 3: I met the prince!!! Also drew a little Waluigi on the board near the indie game area

When I first started in gaming, I was so jealous that my bosses at Namco had business cards in both English and Japanese. Now I have achieved this and am presenting my work at Tokyo Game Show. I feel as though after 20 years finally Iβm a real game developer.
Just to clarify: weβre on the second floor of hall 9 kind of off to the right. Take the second floor foot bridge from halls 1-8
