We are currently testing highly underrated and understudied colobus monkeys for @manyprimates.bsky.social at Zoo Krefeld.
It's a start - but ManyPrimates needs more colobines (and gibbons) for fair representation!

In this experiment, Jafar faces a fun challenge: he’s presented with two cups. By observing the content of just one cup, he cleverly deduces what must be in the other🧠! It’s amazing to see his problem-solving skills in action, giving us insight into primate cognition and learning.

In our new paper, we found that whole brain size - not specific regions or EQ - is the best predictor. This suggests domain-general rather than specific cognitive foundations.
