Kayfabe is for the most part completely dead, the majority of wrestling that is happening now is too self-aware. The right thing to do is to protect the little that is still there and say "No, I won't post Dragon Lee unmasked" no matter if WWE wants you to see it.
A lot of people, especially WWE fans don't give a shit about Lucha Libre, have respect for it or even try to understand.

Wild, New Japan had their 2014 G1 Climax final in the Seibu Dome and never went back to it again. I thought it looked cool.
