Thank god for everyone at karaoke who sang along with me when I did βStop and Stareβ by One Republic, because my voice was not I usually need it for that song.

This movie was 100% Awesome Sauce (β¦from concentrate)
The better for your father to flip his inside out (and dislodge his partial dentures) and terrify you as a child! π€·πΏββοΈπ
If you see this, post a monster!
When youβve been on your feet all day making cookies. . . π©
I miss him on Law & Order.
Of course I make vegan cookies! Do you think my mother raised a punk bitch?!?! π
When itβs clear they wanted to hire Phil Collins for the theme song, but they needed to save the budget for the companion series that ran in syndication! π€£

When I was a kid, my dad tried scheduling my time to prioritize schoolwork and chores and minimize television watching as much as possible, but dammit if I didnβt make sure he allowed time to watch Alien Nation!
Why did it take me almost 40 years to realize why Marty didnβt get an answer when he first called Doc Brown in 1955 . . . He was probably unconscious after having fallen while trying to hang a clock in his bathroom! π€£ (also, was having a clock in the bathroom a regular thing in the 50s?! π€)
I donβt even think it was over-hated, just under-seen.
I have no problem whatsoever believing that. π
Youβd think a movie with a script from the writer of Se7en and 8mm could have been a nice bit of grimy fun, but . . . π kayode-kendall.medium.com/psycho-kille...
I liked Whistle, but I wanted to love it. The concept felt pretty bold, but the execution felt too paint-by-numbers. Dafne Keen is great as the lead, and a few of the kills are legitimately horrifying. Itβs just never as scary as it could have been.
Art and nationality π¨
The problem with Return to Silent Hill is that it is far too preoccupied with directly translating video game mechanics and presentation to film that it never functions like an actual film. Every line delivery feels like voiceover, every tertiary character feels like an NPC.

I unironically love this movie. Itβs dumb as fuck, and thatβs part of why it works. Snake Eyes and Jinx are on their own little side quest, Jonathan Pryce as Zartan as the President is having the time of his life, and Cobra Commanderβs fit is unmatched!
Replace Cobra Commander with Zartan, and that is LITERALLY the plot of GI Joe: Retaliation. π
