๐I've been working on a new project -- a deckbuilder based on a mix of Dominion and Balatro. It's a pretty big departure from Auridia, but it will have just as many secrets.
Here's what it looks like with placeholder art. Keep an eye out for an update later this week!
Over the last week, a couple folks have asked if the Auridia soundtrack is available as DLC. It is now!
Auridia's been shortlisted for Best International Game at SXSW Sydney 2025! Great way to wrap up launch week.
I'll have a booth there Oct 17-18, I'm looking forward to my first visit to Sydney!
Auridia made it into Steam's new and trending section in China! Huge thank you to my publisher in that region, TrueColor Games!
The day's finally here: Auridia has launched! Thanks again to everybody who has tested it, given feedback, or just shown support over the last year or so.
It's 15% off this week, get it here! store.steampowered.com/app/3443080/...
Auridia (once again) has a release date, and this one isn't changing! On September 22, you'll be able to explore Auridia and piece together its history in English, Chinese, Japanese, or Korean.
A couple big updates!
1) TrueColor Games is publishing Auridia in Asia! It will be translated into Chinese, Japanese, and Korean at launch.
2) To make time for this, I've pushed Auridia's launch back to Sept/Oct (this was decided some time ago, and this is a very late update ๐
)
I took a break from Auridia for a few days to do the GMTK 2025 Jam!
In Time Loop Trader, you replay the same week of the stock market over and over. Learn what meme stocks take off and what fads crash, then trade on that to make a killing!
Try it out and rate it here: itch.io/jam/gmtk-202...
Thanks!
I just put it on the store page: Auridia is launching on July 30th!
Here's what I've been working on the last couple of months: new areas, new obstacles, and a new ability.
Wishlist it here: store.steampowered.com/app/3443080/...
Auridia's participating in #SteamNextFest! Try out the latest version of the demo -- it's got new challenges, a new journal system, and new music!
Hi #PitchYaGame!
Auridia is a non-combat metroidvania where you will:
- Gain fluid movement abilities
- Chain them together to explore a ruin
- Piece together a history of oppression, revolt, and desperation
โ Find secrets that should have been left alone

I think half the time I try to improve the feel of a particle effect, the answer is just "more particles" ๐
Just got Auridia's first piece of fan art, from my dad โค๏ธ
I know we're all tired of water level puzzles, but what about *lava* level puzzles?
Maybe they'll get their mojo back if they break it into three games released over ten years :P
We're on the home stretch! I'm working on environment art for Lyceum Axios, the last area in the game. Unless you count the hidden ones ๐.
#LovecraftianDays are here! Check out the Steam event showing you all the games that show you things you're better off not seeing.
And while you're there, try out the new demo for Auridia: store.steampowered.com/app/3638300/...
Haha yeah. The other day I came across Hofstadter's Law, which is "Everything takes longer than you expect, even after accounting for Hofstadter's Law".
I am happy w/ how these turned out though, now I can give them any point and they'll have a nice backswing + lunge towards it. If I use them enough, it'll pay off I think
They're just black lines...I *think* I could probably animate any given one in like...an hour? But that's the part of me talking that hasn't tried and found it's way harder ๐
So I spent five hours making procedurally animated tentacles and I really wonder if I should have just drawn them ._.
I took a break from Auridia this weekend to make Darkest Depths for Ludum Dare! Check out my attempt at a management sim-ish thing that I built with a friend:
norseboar.itch.io/darkest-depths
The #LovecraftianDays showcase is coming up next week, and Auridia will be included there!
Check it out to play the latest demo, and see a trailer that shows new, late-game areas after the game takes a bit of a turn.
Thanks to everybody who came by the Auridia table last night! Great to see so many people play through the demo. I even learned a few new ways some rooms could be traversed ๐
If you're at GDC, stop by the DNA Lounge later tonight for the Indie Arcade party hosted by
@sfgamedevelopment.bsky.social
There will be talks Unity, Reddit, Tipalti, and more, and 30 booths with indie games to try out (including Auridia!)

Yeah that's some of the feedback I got. Adding a setting turned out to be pretty easy so I just did that for now, playtesters can switch back and forth
