On a classroom whiteboard: Mr. Shea. T+S=L. T=(Sub) squared.

I subbed for a sub today in math. Told the students I was a sub squared. We agreed efforts from teacher + students = learning. I asked what fraction of a teacher was a sub? 1/4 they said. Does a fraction get even smaller once you square it? Yes.
So to keep our L the same they needed to step up!

Just give it time. A MAGA nut is going to hallucinate and brandish a weapon at a Fridays restaurant and we’ll be plagued by endless talk of Fri-gate.

Not sure Mullin is a Republican if he is willing to admit a mistake.
But being a doofus moron tracks with being a Trump loyalist.

Kristi Noemβ€˜s new job from Trump - β€œSpecial Envoy for The Shield of the Americas” - is a job title from an unproduced Marvel Universe screenplay, with job duties involving misusing public funds, and needs the same skill set as a pancake house hostess.
She is not qualified.

I get the feeling that a lot of posts on here today are reposts of AI generated fake news. Just sayin’.

I get that with filing deadlines, the open US Senate seat is something that State Representative Paul Tuss can't run for this year. But Montana should not let too many cycles pass without sending Paul Tuss to the US Senate.
As a state rep, he's already done more for Montana than any Republican has.

A.I. Slop Is Here

Virginia needs to take more action on protecting ratepayers, climate goals, the environment, and communities from the harms caused by Virginia becoming "Slophouse Alley."

I know the nickname is "data center", but the technical term for these behemoths is Slophouse.

Texas Republicans caused havoc in Democratic voting in the primary today, not because they wanted to affect who won, but because they wanted to create divisions among Democrats that persist after the primary.
Establishes a template for Republicans in other states where they control the government.

I’m not in the β€œhave Barron serve” chorus. Having the parents he was assigned at birth is more than enough trauma for Barron. Plus, no proof he’s Trumpβ€˜s son. Too tall, doesn’t look like Trump, and no one actually from Queens names anyone or anything β€œBarron.”
I’m now resuming ignoring Barron Trump.

If an advisor told Hegseth that the first 24 hours of strikes against Iran would obliterate ANY capacity it had for retaliatory strikes, that ended the conversation. Asking for fortifications for a Kuwaiti ops center fell on deaf ears.
We have a bratty 5 year old in charge of the Pentagon.

But Hegseth insists on acting for total lethality without any restraints. Laws, ethics, rules, and planning are viewed by Hegseth as weakness and the enemy of America.
Requesting fortifications for a Kuwaiti ops center was something Hegseth thought was weakness and he scorned. If an advisor...

Hegseth ignored requests from the US tactical ops center in Kuwait for fortifications, as well as their recommendation that the site not be used. It wasn't able to be defended & concentrated too many US service personnel.
You can't rule out that he was drunk when he makes errors. But Hegseth...

T walls do diddly against drones or missiles, and it was abundantly clear that is what Iran would retaliate with. Hegseth lied or was ignorant when he claimed the US tactical center in Kuwait, where 6 US service members were killed, was "fortified."

This scene from 50 years ago speaks to our time. The names have been changed to protect the guilty.
Curtis Yarvin should cite it as an inspiration, but there is nothing honest about him.

At what point does the chaotic American withdrawal from Kabul seem orderly compared to how Trump has done ZERO thinking about how the bombing of Iran escalates throughout the region and puts Americans in harm’s way?

Trump has not made America enough of a laughingstock, I guess. He had to take it the next level.
And, still, Melania is more capable than Trump at reading simple text from a binder. So this is an upgrade. Still, a pathetic joke.

The Virginia Constitution clearly states 1st passage of an amendment had to be BEFORE the 2025 election started.
If you're saying Virginia needs to vote on redistricting regardless of what the VA Constitution says, that's exactly the same argument MAGA will make for Trump to run for a 3rd term.

The Virginia Supreme Court not issuing a final ruling and deciding the redistricting appeal BEFORE the voting in the referendum is like a grand jury refusing on whether to indict until AFTER the trial jury has reached a verdict.

The Virginia Supreme Court has had adequate time over the past month plus to solicit briefs and render a final decision on the constitutionality/legality of this fast tracked constitutional amendment on redistricting.
Whichever way it decides, it should have made a final ruling BEFORE voting starts.

It seems like Bezos had a sense that Trump was about to start a war with Iran based on lies, so he had all the Washington Post foreign correspondents sent packing. Makes it easier for Trump to lie and avoid accountability.

Labor Secretary Is a Rare Presence at Department in Turmoil

We should investigate and hold Secretary Chavez-Deremer accountable. But important context- the only reason is part of Trump's Cabinet is because she is willing to misuse government assets for personal use. THIS IS THEIR BRAND.
And her agency in turmoil is on brand.

No part of the 1787 Constitution did more to break with Europe than the requirement that Congress, not the Executive, declare war. That the Congress has spent the last 80 years passing laws that fritter away their sole authority to declare war does not change the Constitution or the history.
