We validated our precinct because Dallas County told us to do so - unless we voted early. But we are highly engaged voters, and have the luxury of not working 2+ jobs. This is a fantastic article on what a dry run for democratic voter suppression looks like.

I imagine this will be one of multiple tactics. In places like TX where Rs have an AG, a governor, or both, they’ll lead the push to go to court. In states where they don’t, they’ll have private parties ready, challenging registrations beforehand and totals afterward. This is just the beginning.

I don't understand why "we're safe because they can't post ICE at very many polling places" has been a line of reasoning. These people are basically the Joker, except smarter and in a world not designed as a morality play.
