You've gotta be kidding me.
You've gotta be kidding me.
An investigation into the Catholic Diocese of Providence uncovered 75 credibly accused clergy & 300+ survivors.
But the real numbers may be higherβbecause the Church refused full cooperation and destroyed some records.
It's always worse than you think.

So, the reason we continue to have diseases is because the disease-curing fetuses that God sends down from Heaven keep getting aborted before they find the cure
π€ seems wrong to me...
I'll be going live tonight to talk about the past week in church/state separation!
We'll be talking about how religious zealots are selling the war in Iran, how Texas schools are rejecting Christian Nationalism, and so much more...

Pastor Randy Caldwell just offered up the Worst Christian Theory youβll ever hear about why fetuses must be protected at all costs.

Texas pushed a Bible-infused curriculum into public schools.
Teachers found:
β’ Missing pages
β’ Wrong answer keys
β’ Copyright issues
β’ Books literally falling apart
Now the state is fixing 4,000+ mistakes.
But the Christian agenda stays. π

If youβre cheerleading for Trumpβs disastrous war of choice because you assume only good things will happen in Iran, you donβt get to call yourself a critical thinker.
Always be a little weird to hear a calm, well-informed, common-sense response to a political question and think "how come there are only like 6 elected officials in Washington willing and able to say this."
Whaaaaat
This is a really thoughtful follow-up on the viral military/Armageddon story from Ryan Whalen at The Debrief:

Jesse Singal: βI donβt understand why all these experts with degrees keep disagreeing with me. So demoralizing. What could the explanation be??β
Christian nationalists keep inventing a βprayer crisisβ in schools.
Meanwhile, actual schools are focused on educating students and dealing with real problems.
Texas Republicans passed a bill encouraging schools to set aside time for prayer.
School districts were required to vote on it.
Out of roughly 1,200 districts, how many opted in?
15.
Turns out the "prayer" crisis doesn't actually exist.

Locke tells me he was not arrested, just booked.
To everyone jumping on a silly bandwagon, I did not get arrested today, or EVER. I went to the booking room voluntarily with my counsel because my license was unknowingly suspended over not sending in proof of insurance after I paid a ticket months ago. Itβs seriously not a big deal. I have a court date on March 23rd to prove that I did and do have insurance. Simple as that. Doesnβt even go against my record. Just something else for people to talk about.
Reposting this w/ more clarity:
Today, Christian hate-preacher Greg Locke was arrested for driving with a bad license.
He now says it's all a misunderstanding over "not sending in proof of insurance after I paid a ticket months ago. Itβs seriously not a big deal."
There's a story going viral about how a U.S. commander told troops the Iran war is part of a religious battle to "cause Armageddon.β
Itβs explosive. Itβs terrifying.
Itβs also based on a single unverified source.
I have questions. π

Paula White-Cain, Senior Advisor for Trump's White House Faith Office, is straight-up pretending to "faith-heal" people while yelling "fire."

Texas megachurch preacher John Hagee didnβt just deliver a sermon this weekend.
He aired a pro-war infomercial telling Christians that bombing Iran is part of Godβs plan.
This is whoβs influencing U.S. foreign policy right now. π

When a patient is prepped, consented, and in a hospital bed, the only thing that should matter is her medical decision, not a religious directive.
No oneβs βsacred fertilityβ should override a competent adultβs right to control their own body.
A woman in Tennessee scheduled a sterilization procedure.
She was in the hospital bed. IV inserted.
Administrators blocked it to protect her βsacred fertility.β
This is what happens when Catholic hospitals put dogma over patient care.

I don't understand this coordinated response of Dems going, "Trump owes us an explanation for attacking Iran!"
Do they expect his failure to provide one will produce a politically advantageous gotcha? Come on. Just say the war is stupid, wasteful and it should cease. Stop being weak and terrible.

A megachurch pastor's son just got sentenced to jail for horrific crimes.
Now the pastor is stepping down⦠for making consensual sex tapes with his wife.

βIf the door is open to charter schools, you can bet it wonβt be long before conservatives try to establish public religious schools. Thatβs literally what theyβve been trying to do in Oklahoma and Tennessee.β
Thatβs why vouchers are a church:state separation issue.
I'll be going live tonight to talk about the past week in church/state separation!
We'll be talking about how Christian Nationalists have taken over the GOP, a megachurch pastor punished for the silliest reason, and so much more...

This Kentucky Supreme Court ruling isnβt just about charter schools.
Itβs about stopping lawmakers from using taxpayer money to eventually fund private religious schools while pretending theyβre "public."
Church/state separation still matters. π
