Someone on reddit asked me about these, so thought I'd post for any youngins. Viz once had mail-in orders to get a cardboard box/housing for your DB/Z. They absolutely did not double check the width for later releases.

The kid even has the Gohan hair. Just looked it up and Toei definitely had enough time to see that Piccolo would be good. I mean the gap isn't that big, but in terms of character progress it is.

The original track is region blocked on youtube, but this cover is pretty spot on. The singer even looks like Izumi Sakai, which considering the channel is exclusively Zard covers, I'm assuming is something she noticed and just went all-in on.

Honest to god one of my favorite anime-only moments. A lot of that episode exists in the gaps left by the manga so perfectly.

It's the 27th Anniversary of the first Digimon Adventure movie in Japan & Digimon anime as a whole! The first movie came out the day before the show did in Japan, and is a unique & interesting piece of animation for the franchise.
