This is Marathon. I found myself randomly running with two Irish players today and we teamed up for the rest of the afternoon. It’s really something unique.
This is like losing the Game but somehow worse

I know it’s for dumb AI stuff, but this is the coolest job title I have seen in a good bit.
I mean, I supported a team that made a lens for the Mars rover Curiosity and I’ve cleared the Deep Stone Crypt raid a whole buncha time so I clearly have *extensive* experience with orbital datacenters.
I’ve also been pleasantly surprised that the random players I am matched with have, for the most part, made an effort to work as a team and get *all* the contracts done; not just their own. The game is fun, and I imagine if I had a full crew to reliably play with it’d be addictive af.
I, a person who is mediocre at *best* in pvp, have been enjoying Marathon. I’ve been playing Triage, and supporting the players I get matched with. I am biased, but I love the lore, I love the world and environments, and I’ve been enjoying how the contract system deals out pieces of story.
I worked on this game a bit supporting the skies and lighting teams. I’m super proud of that. It looks like it’s only gotten better since I last saw it. The world/environments, vibe, and feel of this game is like nothing I’ve ever played. My advice? Prepare to die.

Our tv died, we have no funds to fix or replace it, so it looks like I am gonna be playing Marathon the way god and Bungie intended: on an ancient 1280x720 projector that has a refresh rate equal to that of old syrup.
