Can anybody point me in the direction of some large format comics? Iβve already got the big newspaper version of The Spirit (not my pic) but are there any others I should check out?

Oh good spot! Not intentional, apologies for that Iβll update that ASAP
Weβve not yet decided on exact timelines for each issue, but hoping for issue 1 in the summer with issue 2 in the winter. Weβll discuss deadlines and which issue to place people in depending on their speed and circumstances. I know diff people work at diff speeds! I myself am quite slow π

A flyer for SCARF (Sheffield Comic ARts Fair), happening on 10th October 2026
I may come to regret this decision, but...
SCARF! Sheffield Comic ARts Fair! Next October! Liam "Pais" Hill drew our mascot! Exhibitor application form will be out soon, tables will cost as little as I can get away with!
Please remember to apply so this isn't a terrible decision on my part π
Black Friday reminder: You can support independent bookstores and get great deals without lining the pockets of billionaires π
Just had some very underwhelming tofu katsu curry. It was sweet inari tofu with some undercooked rice and some very thin curry.
I should have known better. This is on me.
Itβs day one at MCM Birmingham! Weβve got lots of books with us, including amazing indie manga from @redstringtl.bsky.social, Sword Hunt chapter 1-3 by @iambonidle.bsky.social, Sparrowsong by ALXNDRA Cook and brand new CRYOMEMORY by Kyle Fewell

100% agree. It's always sad when a publisher closes its doors, it's especially sad when it's one doing such good work in an increasingly small circle of UK pubs!
Gutted but totally understandable! Quindrie have been a constant inspiration for Koguchi + I really respect calling it a day on your own terms. I've had the same thoughts as a one-man operation. Rising costs, impossible hurdles re: distribution. It's tough!
Best of luck with whatever is next!
9 more backers needed to make our target of 100!!!
I'd honestly love to publish more stuff this sorta length. That's my jam. We've done some 20-40ish page stuff recently, but our last two big book (with KS campaigns) are around 100 pages each.
thinking out loud theres a weird lack of space for this type of stuff that's not fully mainstream & also not artsy in a d&q, fantagtaphics sort of way. despite those styles being quite popular online. not saying 'shortbox' is a style per se but theres like a sensibility
I feel that.
We get folks ask for digital comics every now and again, and maybe one day we'll offer that, but for now we just don't have the data to suggest there's enough actual demand.
We do offer digital versions through our Kickstarter campaigns but that's it.
Damn, this is sad news. This only relates to their US business, but seems the French side is under administration + facing layoffs too. Hopefully, they can pay folks, regroup and keep going. Would be a huge shame to lose a publisher with so much history.

We'll send you a DM @barbrajdillon.bsky.social!
Geats is worth a watch! Doesn't quite hit the highs of Build, but it's a great modern Rider show (and bonus: you can watch it legally through Tokushoutsu/Shout Factory)
Weβre super excited about bringing Cryomemory by Kyle FEWELL to conventions and it will debut at @thoughtbubbleuk.bsky.social in November after our successful Kickstarter (you can only get the sticker pack and art print by backing!)
But we MAY also be working on some other new books too π
Thank you everybody for your recommendations, suggestions and shout outs! We've found an artist for this project now, but we're always working on more stuff so I'll be coming back to this list in the future I'm sure!
Working with a writer on something, so there will be a description but not a final design!
Some EXCELLENT recommendations! Thanks! Will reach out to some folks with the right style!
Looking to commission an artist for TWO spot illustrations of some original MECHA by the end of the month. Small budget, quick turnaround, but definitely paid work!
Any recommendations?
Thanks guys! π
