OUR FIGHT DOES NOT END HERE.
Our government continues to terrorize our communities with the threat ofmass deportations, and they will only become more sophisticated and secretive in finding partners to carry out this policy. We will continue to challenge these injustices and demand accountability from corporations and government officials alike.

Anyone who has read Copaganda knows that we are in the crucial early moments of virality after an extra-judicial police murder. It's extremely important for ICE that the media plays along with the idea that what happened is contested and there are multiple perspectives.

Hey Connecticut, did you know that avelo uses their unmarked ice deportation planes to fly commercial passengers at Tweed New Haven Airport? Photo of unmarked avelo plane at Tweed on 11/29/25.
First reported in July 2025, avelo has been flying customers at Tweed Airport on the same planes they use to fly their dangerous and sloppy ice flights
Avelos customers fly in the same seats where ice shackles our neighbors and transports them to concentration camps. If avelos customers looked carefully, are they able to see the blood and tear stains leftover from the ice flights? Illustration of bloody plane seat.
But wait there's more... facing pressure from investors and ice itself, avelo appears to be cutting corners wherever they can, leading to all sorts of issues. In November one of avelos deportation planes had a mid flight emergency. There was a loss of cabin pressure that left six people injured.
Boycott Avelo!
Avelo is a weak cog in the deportation machine and they are feeling the pressure from a growing national movement. Their ICE flights have recently been described as βa disorganized messβ. Is this an airline you would trust to keep you safe?

This Republican-sponsored resolution is a distraction from the very real horrors of capitalism in America, where hundreds of millions of lives are destroyed by those taking advantage of working-class people.Β Rep. Himes continues to fight for the billionaire class and an economic system that is keeping working-class folks from receiving Medicare for all, environmental protections, a living wage, affordable housing, affordable childcare, and good union jobs for all.
We denounce this red-baiting propaganda that continues to prevent working-class people from gaining collective power to spread wealth and decrease inequality across the country. CT DSA will continue to fight for what we have been working towards for years: affordability, workersβ rights, and protections for working-class families.

Connecticut dsas response to the house resolution condemning socialism. CT dsa logo of a red whate with a rose for a tail
The Connecticut Chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America denounces the US Congress's frivolous, fear-mongering resolution condemning Socialism. The resolution is yet another attempt to divide us, the workers, who keep our country alive and moving. While Connecticut's working families struggle to put food on the table, members of Congress do nothing but engage in political grandstanding meant to divide us and distract us from our deteriorating conditions.
We particularly condemn our own Representative Jim Himes, a former Goldman Sachs executive, for supporting the resolution. Socialism is about building an economy that works for all and ensuring that everyday people have a say in their livelihoods. Under capitalism, corrupt elected officials can take ownership stakes in, and profit from, the very corporations they are elected to regulate. This resolution is a distraction from the very real horrors of capitalism, from the growing housing crisis to food insecurity to skyrocketing grocery prices.
Rep. Himes is not fighting for working people, but instead, fighting for deregulations that hand corporations even more power to exploit us. By conflating Socialism with Donald Trumpβs accelerating fascism and dissolution of democracy, Rep. Himes is helping Trump achieve his goal. He continues to support the MAGA agenda by siding with Republicans and Donald Trump with this vote. He would rather side with fascism to protect the system he used to amass his wealth, rather than side with the working class and their struggle for liberation under capitalism.
Rep. Himes has an estimated net worth of $14 million and holds $175,000 of individual stocks. Rep. Himes is a member of the Financial Services Committee. Yet, his 2024 campaign received $340,000 from 63 Corporate PACs...(1/2)
