Three business days*
Such a shitty start to the holiday break thanks to @playstation.com support.
Charge me for the game? Yup!
Give me the game? Nope!
Support response? Thatโll be one to two business days for us to review your refund. Wtf?!
I know people put a ton of work into this, but Iโm sorry, I hate the glass iOS UI/UX so much ๐ญ
I donโt care if my phone looks like it was made in the future. I care that itโs easy to focus my eyes!
Klaus truly is one of the best holiday movies ever made.
Makes me smile every year.
Itโs a tough job market, but given that I recently transitioned roles after more than 4 years it was on my mind.

Find the smallest non-utility functionality and see how comfortable you are parsing it. You donโt need to know the business logic, but understand the technical pattern in use.
Iโm convinced, at this point, that about 90% of the things in tech look hard because you arenโt in the details. Once you dig in itโs a permutation of patterns that arenโt too complex.
The other 10%, ya, Iโm not smart enough for that shit.
Way to go Virginia!!!
Was busier than usual at the polls when we went this morning. Glad to see that was a good omen.
Iโm honored!
Cute LEGO!
tired: it's always DNS
inspired: ICANN feel it coming in the air tonight
My experience is with DNS and there are long known but painful ways to improve on the footguns in that experience.
I would not pretend to be an expert on mitigating the risks that exist with DNS configuration today.
I believe route 53 had an outage as part of this
My first ever full time developer job was working in the DNS domain.
Itโs the backbone of the internet so it is both an unbelievable footgun and incredibly resilient to change. Yes, both can be true at once!
Absolutely
It's always DNS. Except when it's AWS. (In this case, it was both.)
A variation on XKCD's "compiling" comic: The #1 Programmer Excuse for Legitimately Slacking Off: "US-East-1 is down." [Two programmers are sword-fighting on office chairs in a hallway. An unseen manager calls them back to work through an open office door.] Manager: Hey! Get back to work! Cueball: AWS is down! Manager: Oh. Carry on.
