Eating chorizo and empanada for lunch is a deadly combination to my health, but when I'm back home in Spain, it must be done ๐ซก
Eating chorizo and empanada for lunch is a deadly combination to my health, but when I'm back home in Spain, it must be done ๐ซก
I didn't realise it as a kid visiting Spain, but my nan living across the IRL Spencer Mansion must've had some influence on my life growing up...
It genuinely feels wrong for someone to not only have a bachelor's degree, but also a master's AND a doctorate, then replace your brain with ChatGPT.
It's taken me years to get comfortable writing about video games and these frauds aren't even writing their own shit ๐
On the train to the airport, and sitting in front of me is an actual doctor of philosophy from the University of Oxford, who, using ChatGPT, is "writing" vast documentation on a study project they're on.
I'm stunned by how many people I see using AI for everything. It's fucked.
Literally us:
Welcome to the team, chief
Mr X was foundational, but mostly limited to the RPD during a playthrough, while Nemesis, however, felt like THE relentless pursuer throughout RE3.
He shares some similarities, but Nemesis feels like that's where the proper idea of a stalker clicked into place; especially in the original game.
Witness the eternally confused American mind when they hear a British person:
We've updated our Top 10 Resident Evil Games ranked list on IGN, which, of course, I've turned into a video!
We've also included an "IGN's Editor Picks" section on our site version, and I'd argue my #ResidentEvil ranking is perfect ๐ซก

Me at Gamescom this year:
For the past few days, I've been witnessing series newcomers bemoan the inclusion of Blister Heads in #ResidentEvilRequiem...
Anyhow, hope they enjoy prior games if revisited!
How I'm turning up to my first annual review while working at the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center:
There's something inherently funny about Victor Gideon, who looks objectively evil, working at a medical centre, and the regular staff not questioning it.
I know he's working on "experimental therapies", but, as a new hire, would you not be like "nah"?
#ResidentEvilRequiem
Raccoon City Syndrome? Requiem taught me everything I need to know.
Oh no... It looks like I'll be in London around 279 days from now ๐ฌ
#ResidentEvil
We recently had Grace Ashcroft, AKA Angela Sant'Albano, in our office, to answer some questions, and react to some silly Resident Evil Requiem memes...
Never thought I'd have to try and explain what 6-7 is to a Resi protagonist, but here we are!

I'll be freelancing bits here and there, so if you're looking for a writer, video producer, content creator, or consultant, or just want to update your press list, I'm at that.zoe.dels at gmail dot com.
Change is scary, but if not now, when?
Zoe is a fantastic video producer, and the work she's done at Eurogamer was proof of that. Horror game deep dives, extended gameplay breakdowns and more, you'd be a fool not to consider her for freelance and beyond.
Please, do share Zoe's work with those who need a great editor. She won't miss ๐ซก
And finally (because I'm waffling), I'm open to full time and freelance opportunities in video/editorial/community/pr and also I am now able to produce sponsored content for youtube.com/platform32 so if you're looking, come say hi! Big love to you all and thanks for the wonderful memories <3
Ian is a legend, and a lovely one at that! I had the pleasure of hosting and producing videos alongside him during Gamescom, and it was genuinely the highlight of my trip.
In 2017, before my time at IGN, he offered me advice and kind words, and I've always appreciated that. Hire Ian, please!
Me when Leon promises he "didn't hit any vitals", despite shooting my friends and family into Swiss cheese during the events of #ResidentEvilRequiem:
Traditional solitaire? Not for me. A dark fantasy adaptation with a cursed game vibe? Genuinely a brilliant time.
A proper #SteamNextFest gem, and like how Balatro was a weirdly fun introduction to poker, Forbidden Solitaire can do the same for, well, solitaire! I really need more ๐ญ
Any friend of mine knows that I've always loved Resident Evil, and Requiem is now the fourth title I've had the chance to work on pre-release.
Over the years, I've gotten to know people at Capcom, a few Resi actors, and made a lot of videos on RE. Makes me happy, man.
This is an insult, right?
Even before Victor Gideon arrives at Wrenwood, you can already see his t-Virus strain in use; somehow, Umbrella has been able to increase the ass physics of every businessman on the street...
Bioweapons are horrifying and must be stopped!
#ResidentEvilReqiuem #RE9
I just played the Forbidden Solitaire demo and didn't want it to end. Really intrigued to see what the story is with this. store.steampowered.com/app/3414580/...
Resident Evil is upon us, and now that the embargo for RE9 has dropped, we can let you know just how long Requiem really is...
The usual Resi collection of myself, Dale, Tristan, Purslow, and @brianaltano.bsky.social have come together to break down how we spent our time!
youtu.be/xjpDb09XCjY?...
After nearly forty hours spent with Resident Evil Requiem, our IGN score is very well deserved!
The blend of actual scares as Grace, plus great action with Leon, alongside environmental microcosms of Code Veronica, Resi 1, 2, and 3...
Man, it mixes together as a near perfect experience.
Vermis 3 is open to pre-orders, but I'm waiting for a Forsaken Edition to drop...
My little corner of dark fantasy grimness is slowly growing ๐ฌ
I adore Vermis, and now it's got a soundtrack, plus a card game? Amazing stuff. I've waxed lyrical about Plastiboo in the past, and @hollowpress.bsky.social is home to a bunch of amazing artists!
