Thank you, I'm in North Florida. We have a surprise cold period with temperatures in the low 20's a couple of weeks ago and these were already in mid-bloom.

Our photograph captures a quiet, peaceful scene beside a calm river, filled with cool colours and gentle reflections that give the whole image a soothing atmosphere. In the foreground, dark blue water stretches across the lower half of the picture. The surface is smooth with only slight ripples, like soft breathing across the river. Tiny white specks dot the water here and there, and the deep blue reflects the sky above. The reflections of trees and a building shimmer gently in the water, slightly blurred and wavy, giving the impression of a painting slowly moving. Along the opposite bank of the river is a dense strip of reddish and brown shrubs. Their thin branches form a soft, textured edge between the water and the land. The colours are warm but muted, suggesting late winter or early spring. Behind these shrubs stands a pale building with a steep triangular roof, its light walls catching the sunlight. The building feels quiet and still, almost tucked into the landscape rather than dominating it. Tall trees rise around the building. Some are evergreen and dark, forming deep green shapes, while others are bare, their delicate branches reaching upward. A tall, narrow tree stands to the left like a silent sentinel. Overhead, thin branches hang into the top of the frame, gently framing the scene like natural curtains. Above everything is a clear, rich blue sky. The sunlight is bright but soft, giving the scene a crisp clarity without harshness. The still water, the quiet building, and the delicate reflections all combine to create a sense of calm, as though the world here has slowed down and taken a peaceful breath. Finally, our picture is finished with a simple, white border frame.
