“back to the f”
“the white” (white lotus jumps closer to the top, and a multiplier/weight for language could put it at the top)
“star t”
I do think some weighting should be done for exact matches - for example, “Star Trek” and “Star Wars” - could apply a multiplier to the “score” for a 1:1 match
I find it makes search feel not only (mostly) more accurate, but super fast as the user types. Examples:
“zool”
“jurass”
“raiders”
“eraser” (Eraserhead far closer to the top)
“look who” (this one also makes me wonder if the popularity should be weighted by a match in the user’s device language)
Have you looked at re-sorting the results by the `popularity` attribute that comes back with the results (instead of the default sorting)?
I'm playing around with it on a number of test queries, and the results look much closer to what I'd expect.
Are you using their Search “Multi” endpoint?
Screenshot of Callsheet search function. A search starting with “Raiders of “ shows rare movies at the top, and “Raiders of the Lost Ark” isn’t listed until the fifth result.
Is improving the search feature within Callsheet something that can be altered much? Love the app, but always find that the search feature could use some sort of weighting towards film popularity. Case in point (Indy comes up fifth in the list):
Rafiki saying “it is time”
It’s the perfect way for me to find my people at the gym - thanks!
Bummed that performance tees aren’t being sold this go-round - hoping they come back next time.
