It's November so I'm allowed to quietly whisper the word #Christmas, right? Sneaking in between my #Folklore promos I also wanted to point towards a book based on archival research but cosily fictionalised as magical realism - I wrote the book I'd always wanted to read

On the eve of #aras25, I’m revising my chapter for the new edition of The Irish Presidency. A favourite detail: deliberations took place between 1938 & 1939 on an appropriate car that would give the president space to remove a top hat in a dignified way. The winner? A burgundy Chrysler limousine!
