No, because the main discipline in the game is showjumping, and jumping with western saddles tends to be a bad idea :)

yup! The game also features English style saddles, since that's what makes sense for the showjumping mechanics, and because that's what everyone on the team has the most experience with :)

I once joked that the ultimate indie game would be one that requires custom hardware built by the developers. This is a rare example of a real game coming close (although you can definitely play Horses of Hoofprint Bay without it).

They did such a good job with this one. I missed the old games where you could own horses, train them, breed, care for them and give lessons. I mean this is definitely scratching that itch and I have really high hopes for this game.

I put 2 hours into the demo last night. This game is abundantky cute. Its fairly simple, so I hope it gathers an audience of youngins like it derserves. But it did entertain my adult brain too! Just think its simple enough to be a great first video game.
