Started with Maggy on a plane heavily referenced from simple plane art on google search

An exercise done to see how the process of drawing someone's character from reference images worked, while learning about csp (Berry belongs to Xilrayne)

I had the idea of something with canadian dollars in mind, so wanted to use that to express a feeling of encouragement and support

Basic color test after hearing a bit about hue, saturation, and value. Original pic just reused colors from the official art, so it was nice to learn a proper definition of HSV for the first time. Tried making the wood color more saturated and lowered the shadow's saturation/value for more contrast

A phantump test done after being asked for a tree, mimicked from the official phantump art, motivated by drawing curves from gesture drawing videos

The bikini bottoms cheat by putting the "tail" through the right leg hole, though should be the center hole. Maybe the phantump is stupid or something

A lopunny test, done as an art appreciation exercise

The purpose was to attempt following along processes seen in streams, as a non-artist with no real knowledge on brushes, technique, software, etc.

The exercise was a success because many pitfalls were run into, enhancing appreciation for artists
