Battery tech is evolving as fast as PC tech is. So why doesn't the leasing an EV argument apply to the same tech in a plug in hybrid? You're just arguing for the sake of making an argument here.

We bought a Plug in Hybrid for my wife, because with a full on EV she would die of range anxiety. When she travels to the office for work, it's less than 10km each way. The plan as always was to run it on battery as much as possible. I don't see your argument here.

I'd agree with Steffani here. We bought an Outlander hybrid, and the next model year, the battery range doubled. Like Fuck. We do tend to keep our vehicles until they are tired and fully depreciated for the most part, so that was a kick in the pants.
