My last non-dev job, I was the one full-time IT person for a construction company. When I first started, I was traveling to sites sometimes 2-3 times/week. By the time I left, I'd automated away most of my work. And the only reason anybody knew was because I got bored and wanted a job as a developer

I'm playing Pokémon FireRed. I've made it to Cerulean City. The Nugget Bridge glitch still exists in the Switch port. I live here now.
No, I'm not going to build you an intake form where Copilot builds a quote for your customers. If I did, the first time it fucks up, it's my ass that ultimately has to bear the brunt of it. I don't have hundreds or even dozens of fallback clients. Losing a single client's trust fucks me permanently.
As an independent contractor/consultant, I *turn down* work where clients want AI as part of the process. At my experience level, it slows me down. At its current failure rate, I refuse attaching my name to it. I can't afford the liability of it being wrong. My reputation is literally all I have.
As the person that's always This Person: I absolutely the fuck am not using AI. In fact, every time I encounter someone who *is* using AI I have to clean up their work
If you're tired of blind baking tart shells, I have great news! While I was working on the lemon curd tart video I learned about perforated tart rings and perforated silicone baking mats. What a massive difference!
Now these tart shells are entirely too easy to make 😬
