Using Donals initial work, was able to get kamal to push and pull from a local docker registry. Saves about 10-15 seconds on my simple app and removes an external dependency (docker hub). Give it a go and let me know if you find any issues: github.com/basecamp/kam...

Got you dawg: github.com/npezza93/gem.... This sets up a rubygems plugin to run after bundle install or gem install. (this particular repo basically runs ctags on all bundled gems)
