Let's force more kids into poverty so that they grow up patriotic and loyal to the country that impoverished them, ready to serve in the Army...
My problem with Labour. Policies matter, and language matters too. Starmer and Mahmood repeatedly use language and propose policies that validate Reform's rhetoric.
If they spend the next 3 years telling voters that Reform are basically right, will they be surprised that's what people vote for?
No plan after Iraq. No plan for Iran now.
Trump is repeating the same mistakes.

Important to seek clarity today on whether Home Office and No 10 will try to defend - or will now withdraw - a false+misleading claim applying settlement reforms to 2022-24 cohort saves Β£10bn
Not just overspinning lifetime saving in 30 years time
Gvt policy doesn't save maybe Β£8-10 billion of it!
In The Independent today....
A policy designed to save middle-class parents from the inconvenience of having to move house or pretend to get religion.
If I was him, I wouldn't have been able to resist shouting "you don't have the cards" down the phone...
Shabana Mahmood says that if asylum seekers arrive here legally, then it's "systematic abuse of Britainβs generosity", but if they arrive illegally then it's, er, illegal...
This is the Government literally celebrating the closing down of 'safe and legal' routes for some asylum seekers.
They say that 39% of asylum claims last year were from refugees arriving by legal means, as if that's a bad thing...

Someone measuring their progress?
How is it possible that people think their audience is so stupid?
Perhaps they'll be designated as a Terrorist Organisation next....
Lammy says he believes that striking missile sites within Iran to prevent the launch of attacks "would be legal".
The slippery slope of illegal and badly-planned wars always arrives lubed.....
Please come!
May be a false story, but the direction of travel is correct.....
Fingers crossed. As a linux user for 25+ years who is also the "family tech support", I long for the day when I never have to wrestle with windows ever again....
Kemi Badenoch claims the Type 45 Destroyer canβt intercept missiles.
That is literally what they are designed to do, and theyβre world-renowned for it.
The Conservatives should wind their neck in and stop warmongering.
We will not gain anything by getting involved in a conflict with Iran.
You can deny access to the geolocation api (at least in firefox).
It's being reported that the Pentagon is making extensive use of Anthropic's Claude AI to select targets in Iran. So who decided to bomb that Girls School - human or AI? Is Claude a war criminal?

This IPSO adjudication against the Telegraph is quite something
Confirms their story titled: βWe earn Β£345k, but soaring private school fees mean we canβt go on five holidaysβ was completely fabricated, with the family involved non-existent and stock pictures used

Obviously nonsense to accuse Starmer of being scared of his own voters. If anything, he seems to view them as optional.
I haven't dared look on twitter, but has anyone posted "Jews control the tectonic plates" yet?
To be fair, I neither approve of the position we find ourselves in nor the path we took to get here, but Starmer's statement and responses yesterday were probably as good as it gets in the circumstances.
"One NCO said they were told the U.S. war is to bring about Armageddon and the return of Jesusβ¦"
50% correct.
Excellent news with very welcome u-turn by government in House of Commons this evening, pledging to restore the Electoral Commission's independence. Democracy is strengthened by having an independent regulator.
(Labour had previously omitted from its legislative plans acting on this.)
The government's immigration proposals are an obscenity: They needlessly punish refugees, make integration basically impossible, and introduce a sliding system of administrative abuse depending on how wealthy you are iandunt.substack.com/p/can-we-ext...
Literally no one wants this except the AI companies. So the UK government is going to give it to them.
Britons likewise oppose the government's decision to allow US aircraft to use UK airbases to launch attacks against missile sites in Iran
Support: 32%
Oppose: 50%
