A middle aged library patron just asked me about the possibility of borrowing this title from another library and was delighted that I knew of it and had seen it. XD
It really is a fun film with great scenes and music.

the literacy crisis affects art, too, because there's so much meaning in every word here. "vulnerable" implies the advice may not be trustworthy. the fact he's been turning it over means he's been trying to determine additional meaning from it throughout his life. compressing it loses meaning!!!!!!!

Maybe I’m just really fucking tired of people making me the lightning rod/whipping boy/outlet of whatever the fuck is wrong with them, professionally or personally, and just want to be afforded some respect and dignity. I’m not asking for surplus respect, just the bare minimum here.

Also, people who are concerned that you’re going to make a mistake but don’t pay attention to whether you’ve actually made a mistake before announcing that you’ve made a mistake. Like, maybe it’s not my competence that should be in question here, bud. One of us is paying attention and it’s not you.

I am endlessly fascinated by people who do not want to move quickly - as pedestrians or drivers - but apparently cannot abide the idea of being *behind* someone else.
