Seriously, if TheBurntPeanut has inspired you at all, check out this video about how a model like this gets made and try it for yourself!

vtuber Mar Katoto
vtuber Captain Cube
vtuber Sclimbo (also known as VtuberMale)
vtuber Peanuts-kun
I wonder if TheBurntPeanut understands what his #thestreamerawards win means for male vtubers. There's a subgenre of funky guys with big personalities who, while unconventional by current vtubing standards, could be a hit with Twitch's conventional audience

Any Japanese knowers interested in translating Three Wishes
How @mikanthemink.bsky.social actually uses her computer
Hear me out: New feature where you can double-tap right bumper to instantly launch curling at full charge
Would actually be really cool to have. Only 355 more backers to go!
The Three Wishes Demo is live on Steam now in anticipation of tomorrow's Steam Next Fest event :D
If anyone's interested in trying it out, you can grab the demo here: store.steampowered.com/app/2692730/...
The monochrome brown color scheme is warm and inviting and the theme of a warms dessert is very comforting π€π€
Does Gura know that she's on the front page of krita.org?
You're welcome!
I apologize, but I didn't expect you to copy my notes as they were. They're actually a bit old and I'm pretty sure I messed up when I tried to update them to point to the latest version of UMU. I need to make a VM to retest the commands π
The .desktop files should work, though!
@kyloneko.net
With UMU Launcher, we now have a way to run Steam games and apps that support -nosteam flag (such as VTube Studio and VBridger) with Proton without opening Steam. I thought it might be a useful addition to the guide. I made some example .desktop file that I hope illustrate the idea
Incidentally, the original comic wasn't about creating dichotomies of categories, but was explaining a natural law
I looked at a few more examples of this format, and I think I see the intellectual foolery. First, pick two things. *Anything* else you compare to those two things will be more like one than the other. With some cherry picking, you could avoid stretching credulity, but I doubt most people care
I know most of you won't understand what's going on, but I need more people to hear this legendary mic peak
Sounds like fun!
I love the pose and expression. She looks so cute, but so nervous
Not to say that going to the extremes isn't worth it with the right talent doing the piloting! (Video is of @alpineshowtime.bsky.social)
If you know you want these features, definitely prioritize them over toggles so said toggles can be animated with them taken into account, and have your rigging broken up into model updates as @ransom-vt.bsky.social says here
Speaking personally, leaning and turning help immensely to make a model feel "real." The more ways the model can move, the better. There's a sense of diminishing returns as you take each to the extreme but you can get a *lot* out of a little.
What a coincidence, I am currently trying to convince Kshi to switch to Linux π
I could never!
I'd highly recommend it to anyone who's been plugged into this world as long as I have. The jokes are funny enough on their own, but there's an extra layer of parody that you have as someone who's watched hundreds of debuts. It's not too long and worth the watch.
Ludwig's vtuber debut was brilliant satire, by the way. Some of it I suspect was unintentional or aimed moreso at the livestreaming industry at large, rather than vtubing specifically, but pretty much every moment was like a funhouse mirror of indie vtuber culture.
It's a complicated matter. The toxicity is far from all-encompassing, but still too prevalent to avoid. What I need from myself is the courage to stick by my opposition to this kind of toxicity, even as doing so exposes me to the same venom. I regret not supporting Pokimane as a vtuber back then.
Drawing a through-line of toxicity back to that point has utterly redefined my perception of the medium. My enjoyment of vtubing has been undercut by this poisonous element and I'm only now realizing for just how long I've been excusing it away.
A friend of mine drew a comparison between Ludwig's vtuber debut and Pokimane's from back in 2020, and while he didn't grasp the weight of his statement, I do, and it's making me lose sleep.
She started using Linux less than two weeks ago and has worked *really* hard on getting everything set up! You should definitely come check out how her experience is coming along so far
