When Trump imposed his illegal tariffs and raised costs for families across Minnesota, I sued him and won at the Supreme Court.
Yet again, I have no choice but to take him to court to uphold the rule of law and protect Minnesotansβ pocketbooks from the damage his tariffs will cause.
Iβm mourning the loss of Sgt. 1st Class Nicole Amor. She served our country with distinction in the military for more than 20 years. We owe her a debt of gratitude and our respect and honor for her ultimate sacrifice.
My prayers tonight are with her and her loved ones.
GoFundMe has quickly become one of the most recognizable names in the online charitable giving space, which is why their practice of creating imposter web sites is so concerning.
Iβm teaming up with a bipartisan coalition of AGs and charity regulators to demand answers.
If you believe you are the target of a scam, file a complaint with my office online. You can also give us a call: (651) 296-3353 or (800) 657-3787.
Itβs unacceptable when scammers target any Minnesotan.
Itβs particularly galling when scammers go after Minnesotaβs veterans, who have risked and sacrificed so much on our behalf. Anyone preparing claims without authorization is breaking the law and taking advantage of veterans.
These cuts are the latest in a long series of efforts to punish Minnesotans β but just as we fought back and won when they illegally tried to cut funding for childcare, hungry families, and our schools, we are suing them again today to make them follow the law.
It's National Consumer Protection Week and here at the AGO, we are highlighting some of the most common scams targeting Minnesotans.
Let me be clear: the @minnesota_dps will never send you a text message for money.

Safe, effective vaccines save lives.
I stood up to the vaping industry and social media companies when they targeted our children, and I will do everything in my power to protect the health and well-being of all Minnesotans, especially our children.
When people commit Medicaid fraud, theyβre stealing from all of us.
With the support of Rep. Norris and Sen. Johnson Stewart, we are introducing an updated version of our Medical Assistance Protection (MAP) Act, to give us more resources and more tools to fight Medicaid fraud.
On behalf of the people of Minnesota, we are holding them to account for that callous behavior. Todayβs settlement forces the company to significantly change their internal policies to protect the people of Minnesota and imposes a substantial financial penalty on them.
I sued Fleet Farm after they endangered Minnesotans by ignoring clear warning signs and selling guns to straw buyers. The warning signs that Fleet Farm ignored were so clear that Fleet Farm went on to use those sales as examples of obvious red flags in internal trainings.
When a lawsuit was filed challenging Minnesotaβs ban on captive audience meetings, we got to work defending this pro-worker law. The Court of Appeals dismissed the lawsuit and today, the Supreme Court left that dismissal in place. This is a great day for Minnesota workers.
Earlier today, I testified in the Minnesota Senate Judiciary Committee about the effects of Operation Metro Surge on Minnesotans and our work to fight fraud.

It is welcome news that the Supreme Court struck down Trumpβs unlawful tariffs.
Todayβs ruling vindicates the work my fellow attorneys general and I have been doing to rein in this lawless president and stand up for Minnesotan's rights, freedoms, and pocketbooks.
Iβm pleased to have won a temporary stop to Trump's unlawful attempt to slash millions in public health funding to Minnesota.
As long as his campaign of revenge and retribution goes on, I will do everything in my power to protect Minnesotans from his lawless actions.

Today, as we open a new legislative session, our hearts are heavy with grief. We come together not only to govern, but to remember and honor the extraordinary life and service of Speaker Emeritus Melissa Hortman.

Make no mistake: the people of Minnesota ended Operation Metro Surge.
Your voices, dedication to peaceful protest, documenting federal agentsβ abuses of power, and commitment to providing for each other made this happen.
There's more work to do, but this is a win for Minnesota.
Minnesotans across our state are stepping up to meet this unprecedented moment in our history. I am proud to join you and match your bravery.

Refugees come to Minnesota fleeing some of the worst conditions on the planet, from war to famine to persecution.
Iβm taking a stand in court against DHSβ lawless actions and for the refugees that are doing so much to make Minnesota a better state.
Minnesotans believe that every child, regardless of race, gender, the wealth of their family, or zip code, deserves the best education possible.
Thatβs why I sued Trump and won this agreement protecting over half a billion dollars for Minnesota schools every year.
This order further protects Minnesotans from Trumpβs devastating and unlawful cuts to childcare services. This is a tremendous relief and protects low-income families from having to choose between going to work to pay the bills and staying home to provide childcare.
There are more reasons than ever for Minnesotans to protect their online privacy. I encourage you to make use of the powerful new MN Consumer Data Privacy Act to protect your data and minimize your digital footprint.

I recently spent a day out with community in Minneapolis, listening to folks share their experiences and hardships related to the ICE surge. The national news may be moving on, but we are still fighting.

My statement in response to White House Border Czar Tom Homan's press conference this morning, February 4.
Iβm grateful to Judge Biery for helping to bring Liam Ramos and his father Adrian home.
But it is a sign of how far we are from the normal rule of law that a judge even had to issue a decision like this one.
