So let me get this straight ...
1. US bombs Iran
2. Oil price goes up a bit, benefitting Russia's petrostate
3. Russia gives Iran targeting info
4. Oil price shoots WAY up
5. US unsanctions Russian oil
1. The New Hampshire House has passed a public building bathroom ban that says it is a violation of the state civil rights act for a trans person to "assert" their identity gives them access to a bathroom.
It bans them from public bathrooms across the state.

Been really wild to watch Rolling Stone make a very obvious shift in editorial direction over the past few months. (And laying off most of the talented people who had been working there.)
this whole thing is incredibly insulting to everyone's intelligence, but i'll say, from experience, that if you get a tattoo which might have even the slightest hint of a hidden meaning, every rando who thinks they know anything about tattoos is going to mention something to you about it
I too remember the earlier, woke wars. tons of spent microaggression munitions strewn about everywhere, friends crying out for God as they were slowly cancelled...look, if you weren't there, you'll never understand
Is it bad when you're an AUSA and include what appear to be AI hallucinated cites in a brief? Is it worse when the pro se plaintiff calls you out on it? (Though, in fairness, it appears the plaintiff is also an attorney.)

OMG
honest to God that might be what actually gets some movement from Congress
so deeply dystopian to catch myself going "maybe the Destroying the Environment caucus can get through to the Senseless War caucus" but here we are
To disperse looters during 2020 unrest, Des Moines police officer, a βless-lethal munitions expertβ who is in βfear for his life,β rides around in a Bearcat shooting people without warning or command. People like this plaintiff, who wasnβt rioting or looting and who suffered a broken finger. Eighth Circuit: Because the officer didnβt intend to arrest her, thereβs no Fourth Amendment claim, and, because he didnβt intend to harm her, there is no Fourteenth Amendment claim.
i'm on top of @shortcircuitij.bsky.social right as it comes out this weeks and oh boy, just look at this shit
After the DOGE group showed up but before MPD arrived, the USIP building had been placed in lockdown mode, meaning all interior doors were locked and elevators were no longer operable. So once in the building, MPD needed to manually break down interior doors to give Trump's team full access.
Body cam footage shows Kenneth Jackson, the Trump-installed new USIP President; Laken Rapier, Jacksonβs Chief-of-Staff; DOGE workers Nate Cavanaugh and Justin Fox; and DOGE lawyer Justin Aimonetti were present at the raid. MPD let them in through a side door, despite USIP staff's objections.
SCOOP β Body camera footage obtained as a result of my lawsuit against the DC Metropolitan PD confirms DOGE and the Trump administration openly admitted they were entering private property when they raided the building on March 17, 2025. That didn't stop MPD from breaking down the doors.

These most recent allegations against Trump are vile and disgusting.
Nobody is above the law. Especially not the leader of the pedophile protection party.
CalMatters reports on the Border Patrolβs network of hidden surveillance cameras in California:
I used to feel sad about being unemployed until I realized itβs actually the most trendy 2026 lifestyle
there are a large number of ways in which the republican party is learning, apparently for the first time, that your adversary gets a vote
It's hilarious that "working class" now applies exclusively to the racist failsons of regional car dealership owners but every unemployed trans person is an "elite".
This is the thing about bathroom bans targeting trans people - assault is already a crime! Indecent exposure is already a crime! And laws that protect trans people don't suddenly make them legal
Incredibly angry about this every day.
The people who pick on trans kids are not only disgusting freaks who want to inspect children's genitals, they're also miserable bullies who break the rules of decency laid down by every measurement of morality.
Over 120 people have been hospitalized due to measles in Utah alone. "It is, at this time a real threat in our state and something we can do to stop it," said Dr. Leisha Nolen, state epidemiologistβ¦ pleading for people to get themselves and their children vaccinated.β @jackiantonovich.bsky.social
It pisses me off that the movementβs leaders all have their own kids vaccinated but theyβre ok with the MAGA rubesβ kids getting sick and dying because this antivaxx nonsense advances their overarching narrative that all neutral sources of information are corrupt.
From time to time I see certain white pundits and reporters reveal that they have no understanding of any of the subtleties with which race and racism actually operate in this country. Just the most naive, simplistic, mechanical thinking. Deeply embarrassing.
AI companies have βhit the ceiling on the places where itβs useful and easy to sell,β so they over-hype their products' capabilities to attract the venture capital required to squeeze out competitors, EFFβs Katharine Trendacosta told @MotherJones. www.motherjones.com/politics/20...
Americans out of work.
Gas prices up.
War in the Middle East.
Republicans replaying some of their worst hits of the 2000s.
At least 14 active measles cases have been reported at Camp East Montana, a hastily constructed tent camp in El Paso where more than 3,000 immigrants are imprisoned.
I knew my family switching to hybrid cars would be a good investment in the long run, but I didn't think the long run would get here so soon.
Obama: "We are living in a time where it can be hard to hope. Each day we wake up to some new assault on our democratic institutions. Another setback to the idea of the rule of law ... but this man - Rev. Jesse Jackson - inspires us to take a harder path ... bc if we don't step up, nobody else will"
analysis Mirror, mirror: Demsβ Israel problems look a lot like the GOP on Ukraine In this polarized political landscape, support for Israel and Ukraine are now becoming partisan issues, with GOP elected officials and voters overwhelmingly supportive of Israel, while Democrats are standing by Ukraine
Jewish Insider fails to realize that Republicans oppose Ukraine for bad reasons and Democrats are increasingly opposed to Israel for good reasons
