I remember in 2025 (or 2024?) someone at NYU Game Center had made a horror TTRPG. And now I'm wondering what it's like to play something like that, and again - how do you design an experience that is meant to be scary?
No spoilers please. But I'm going to really keep playing this game. I can't believe this, but I think I really want to learn more about survival horror. And I think I'm going to need to find friends to keep me company along the way. Because I really GET SO SCARED.
I really wonder what it took to create this experience for the player. Like what was it like to design game play up to the first encounter? It's a sacred moment that I imagine totally sets the tone for the entire game.
I'm constantly trying to understand what precisely put me in this situation, and how will I get out of it.
